i believe it was something like the monitor that just one day within a short time after purchase decided to stop working and it progressively got worse and worse until the whole monitor went kaput at which point apple reps tell you it's some outrageous price like $600 to fix.. in my case i think i was within the return window here and they did accept a return.. i don't fault the seller, but this was the final apple laptop i will ever buy. as a software developer i learned to do things like an actual professional and interact over SSH in vscode. you might think that mac gives you bash on a BSD kernel, but really it's just 60% more expensive for similar specs to a windows equivalent. a mac absolutely will complicate your development process and wallet. ... show more

System took about a week to come in from the west coast. UPS cited a "train delay" as the issue. Received it yesterday. Screen, keyboard and case appear as new, with the exception of the bottom of the case. There are several small outward-facing "dents" in the bottom of the case, almost like something was trying to get out. (See pictures). When I started up the system, the battery was completely dead...not a good way to store LiPos. Before performing a Time Capsule restore from my old MBP15, I has to upgrade MacOS to Monterey. My 1.5TB system restore from my old MBP took about 5 hours from and external USB-C drive. During that time the battery charged to 100%. Aside from the dents, the system specs were exactly as described. I've only been running it for a day, but it's been great. Between the 8-core i9 CPU and32GB RAM the performance of Windows VMs in Parallels and VMWare Fusion is much improved. And...you can't beat saving about $1000+ over a similarly configured system elsewhere! ... show more

I have to say, I was skeptical about a “renewed” MacBook Pro - NOT from Apple. Very well done. The chassis is in excellent condition, as listed. There are EXTREMELY minor imperfections in the body and some shine on the keys where they have been used before. That’s IT so far. I may update this if there are issues, otherwise no complaints!! ... show more
