I live on southern Florida and am a porch percher. My OLD fan finally gave up the ghost and HAD to be replaced. A friend suggested I check out blowers instead of fans. Great advice! When I first turned it on it blew nearly everything off the table! Had to turn the speed down and move it further away from me. I love that it has a place to plug in a radio or lamp and that it has 2 USB ports. It is was a little loud at first, but not nearly as loud as my old fan but Iโ€™ve gotten used to it and donโ€™t notice it anymore. At night itโ€™s difficult to see the off button without turning on my phone flash. Would be perfect if it had a remote! I highly recommend!! ... show more

I purchased this fan to move hot air out of a bedroom/office when my husband started working from home for covid last year. We both have worked in there with dual monitors but he must give off a lot more body heat because it was unreal how hot the room would get even with the ceiling fan going. Although it did work for that purpose, he never uses it that way. We have gotten a lot of use out of it in other ways. It is perfect if you clean your carpet because the air can stay so low that it does a great job of drying it faster. We've used it where some water leaked in around a window during a tropical storm. (We live on the coast in Georgia.) It was great for that because it was small enough to be able to place it where the air hit the area it need to hit. My husband uses it while working on our cars and while in the shop. It isn't the best fan for the shop to cool a body because it doesn't have a wide range and with it so low to the floor, it doesn't do a lot for cooling you off unless it is on a higher surface. I don't recommend buying this as fan to cool a room as I have already pointed out that is doesn't cover a wide range of volume. Obviously, the outflow area is fairly small. However, if you are going to do something like change the oil in your car, it is great to move the air under the car. Or if you are going to be small area, it will work out. I think a lot of the lower star reviews are for people who used it in a purpose for which is wasn't designed or suited. Ours is not very loud at all. Of course, the air movement is going to make noise but we don't have any rattles or other noises. If you are using it in a shop or garage, the extra rattle wouldn't necessarily bother you, anyway. ... show more

At the moment my family and i reside in a very small home. We orderd 2 of these and they circulated air so well that we picked up one more. When you perspire all ya need is a little breeze to keep ya cool. THESE provide a hurricane! Normal bladed fans now are basically useless. Get these if you need air moved in a small to medium space. CAVEAT: The control is electronic. Would be nice and probably last longer if it was analog. You know...a knob that twists or just a simple 4 way rocker switch. 5 stars cause these work as they should. ... show more
