I plan to buy another one soon just to keep on hand if something happens to my current one. I mainly work with 1/16 and 1/8 basswood and it slices through like butter with clean cuts. So this little laser engraver/cutter is pretty powerful! I accidently selected cutting the first time and burned through the wood and a little bit of the counter top. The setup was not too difficult, you just need to follow the instructions which is included. The software was pretty easy to setup on the computer and it connects pretty easily. The hard part was finding a vector file for what I wanted engraved, but I was able to upload a regular jpg and have the software convert it to want I wanted. You can see the laser engraver is pretty fast! And you'll definitely want to wear the included glasses to protect your eyes! The machine when turned on is pretty loud. The price is pretty reasonable compared to the ones that cost in the thousands. It's versatile and can't wait to see what fun I can have engraving the kids stuff! It's functional and fun! Will post more updates once I get the hang of it.

If the driver software worked on a mac, I would give ot 5 stars easily. The build quality is impressive and the assembly couldn't be easier. However, I purchased this with the intent of running it on a Mac. You cannot run this on a Mac, not a current Mac, anyway. The software will run, and it is nicely developed, but the CH340 driver is blocked by Mac OS because the certificate has issues and the driver is from 2022. I had multiple exchanges with ACMER support starting with the AI bot. All totalling hours of frustration with messages coming back on my support ticket asking me for my OS version and sending me to the same link for the same driver software, every time. I had a project to complete so, in the end, I just purchased a lower-cost Windows laptop. And the drivers haunted me there also. I had to permanently suspend Windows extra security (S-mode) in order to let the driver run. The machine works beautifully. Too bad they aren't focused on making this easy and safe for their customers by getting proper drivers written and approved by Microsoft and Apple.

Horrible. We have multiple computers, new macs, neighbors windows computers, kids chrome books. Unable to work on all computers, kids are upset their gift does not work. Unsat. Bad machine. Returning That and it is very difficult to build

So awesome, we are usually 3d printing, but always wished it had some type of engraving and wood cutting feature. Decided to try this as it seems entry level. Took about 20min to set up and is fairly easy to do so. It looks great for the results. Definitely recommend getting something to go under anything you cut like wood to be safe. Great entry level machine that can let you make neat things or add to your side hustle
