I bought these boots for occasional use in some hazard response duties because of the required steel toe. I have some expensive hiking boots and running shoes, so I tend to buy quality. These cost about a third of what a really good boot would be, so for the price I figured if they were ill fitting, cheaply made, I would not have blown a hole in my wallet. Quite a surprise. Size is accurate, quality is superior to expectations. I've worn these to take walks, very comfortable, nice sole, lace up well and the zipper is a real plus. You get what you pay for has been my agreed upon mantra, but this is an outlier. I got a lot more than I paid for. They are wearable, and if the present predicts the future, they will be durable. Have been in medium rain and they were dry. I've not walked through several inches of standing water, but suspect the high sole is so well attached that my feet would remain dry. ... show more

I would say 3 ½ stars would be more accurate. Well they have achieved all their claims and for a great price. Not exceeding but passing. They are lightweight which is nice but they are also very thin. So far they are warm enough for what I do as a truck driver. Im not very hard on boots outside of dragging my heel. The zipper is kind of iffy and feels like the first thing that might go. The insole is incredibly thin and barely there so some new insoles will be necessary. Also the zipper does allow me to remove and put on my boots not easily but can be done maybe if I loosen the laces they will slide on and off easier. The soles of these boots claim to be slip resistant but I do question it plus the tread is fairly shallow. So far they do keep my feet dry. They fit as well as expected. Overall they are nice but definitely get what you pay for situation but cheap enough that if they fall apart after a year I'll just buy another pair. ... show more
