I purchased this mat to put under a waterproof pad for my sloppy dogs water bowl. I just wanted something very thin to help protect the hardwood floor, that wouldn't slip & slide all over the place. This mat is VERY thin. It has a "sticky" side which has kept it from moving. It's a rubbery material and can be wiped off or rinsed off in the sink when needed. It's worked great for my intended use and has kept dog bowl water from seeping thru to my wood floors.

Its a big but thin rubber mat. It works. The only thing I would lean on the side of caution when buying is if you have pets. My dog's hair sticks to it like a magnet. Otherwise it seems to be made of decent quality and protects my desk well.

I love the size and ease of cleaning it. I discovered I have a talent for sculpting clay to make Harry Potter wands, and needed something to protect my table. Even hot glue comes right off. It’s perfect for painting etc. and it’s so easy to clean afterwards
