The carpet comes in a vacuum bag and when you open up you hear the air flowing into the bag and then you take out the rug and place it on the floor and then for a couple of hours it will fill all the way out. It feels like crushed velvet or velour material and is very soft and luxurious I hate walking on it to be honest. It's very easy to clean, I don't have any kids so maybe that's why, so there's no real spills or anything on the carpet. This rug arrived in a small-sized box folded up. I thought there was no way the creases would come out of it. I bought the 6x9 and laid it out for a day and it still had creases.
