Ordered one a long time ago, a white one, and understandably over time it would get dirty from the grime of hands or spills and splashes from food and drinks. Love that I am able to put it into a machine wash and machine dryer, HOWEVER you will definitely need to put it into a mesh laundry bag. Preferably one that is smaller so you can fold/roll it with the rubber(?) part facing in. Made the mistake of having the rubber part out in my latest wash and probably the heat from the dryer messed with the rubber and rubbed against the laundry mesh bag which caused the black specs to stick to the bag (luckily rest of clothes are completely fine, mostly wear black anyways), and some onto the pad itself. The print quality is very good and very fun too if you're into space, planets, etc.! No complaints yet. Haven't had it very long. The material is thick overall. Moreso that a lot of other low cost deskpads. Remember that washing this with soap and water can cause the gluing to come free. The cloth will separate from the rubbery backing.
