Might not be the best for building strong sand castles, since they stretch, but have held up well after four or five beach days getting packed and slammed down. As well as lugging water up to the build site. I like the rim tab that keeps the handle at the rim on one side and they collapse down to pack away. We used these for Easter baskets and will be using them come summer at the beaches for sand castles. For now they're full of cars and trucks. They're sturdy when popped out, but fold flat enough to store and stack in a closet space in a small apartment. They're very nice. We will be spending Easter with our grandkids down in Miami. As their Mimi, I usually put their Easter baskets together and since we'll be flying down there and our kids are flying in from other states, too, I wondered how I could bring baskets down to make them. Since these collapse, I will take two of them down and use them for Easter baskets and then the kids can use them as sand pails at the beach! They fold down pretty flat, are not heavy and are very easy to open and close. I'm so happy I found these! They seem very high quality, not cheap. These folding buckets are absolutely wonderful!! I bought them last year for my niece. I knew my sister would love them because they’d be easy to store off season. Unfortunately, my niece lost all of these buckets in a house fire last week. These were one of the things she wanted to bring a smile to her face after what happened. When you take kids on a cruise or to a resort or even just a beach vacation you fly to, it is difficult to bring all the beach toys they want/need. These collapsible buckets dont take up much room compared to regular buckets and do the job. The only drawback is they are not great for filling with sand to make sand castles...but good for everything else. I bought these pails for my grandchildren to collect eggs on Easter bc their other baskets will have gifts in them and was Pleasantly surprised as the picture doesn’t really do the pails justice. They are very durable to stand up to my grandchildren, lol. They collapse which I love because I don’t have a lot of storage, the colors are nice & bright and they are very reasonably priced.
