I ordered this dog house as a kind of retreat or relax place for my Golden Retriever. It was very easy to put together with just a couple screws and snaps in place. It looks nice when assembled but the quality is not the best. The plastic seems a little flimsy and I definitely could not see this withstanding NY winter's. A few features that I really liked were the elevated floor and the easy open top. Both make it so much easier to clean while still giving your pet protection from the weather. Now..the size..this is my biggest gripe about this dog house. My dog BARELY fit in it, leaving him no room to move around inside. I guess the purpose is to protect them from the elements, and it does that, but it not comfortable for a large dog. If you have a small to mid size pet then I think it would be a good value and option. ... show more

this falls apart and nothing really to hold it together other than clips and the dogs lean on this too much . The dogs went in it but only because it was all they had. I wouldn't buy this again

This dog house is a nice combination of durability and convenience. It went together without much trouble, and the finished product feels sturdy enough for both indoor and outdoor use. I really like the removable roof, which makes cleaning the inside much easier than trying to reach through the doorway. The elevated floor is another thoughtful feature since it helps keep pets up off the ground and improves airflow underneath. The ventilation helps keep the interior from feeling stuffy, and the plastic construction should hold up well to the elements without requiring much maintenance. Be sure to check the dimensions before ordering to make sure it’s the right fit for your dog, especially if you have a larger breed. For the price, it feels like an excellent value. This is a cute little dog house. I know they say it's large, but it's only big enough for a smallish dog. My Aussie went inside and turned around, but there's not much room to be comfortable. The installation was easy enough, but (yeah, another but) when I went to snap the roof onto the little plastic hinges one of them broke. Not very sturdy plastic. I couldn't use this in the winter, there's no way to close the vents. It's flimsy enough that a gust of wind would blow it over. The roof pulls up for easy cleaning. Maybe I'll use this in the barn for the cats. ... show more

7-6-26 4 stars for now, only because I have not found a flap door for the opening and think it should have come with one. Took me roughly 25 minutes to unbox, familiarize, assemble and dispose of the packaging. The only tool you'll need to provide is a Phillips screwdriver to install the hinges all the other pieces just snap together. Make sure the little tabs actually snap in to the slots otherwise the panels can be pushed by a pet from it inside and dislodge. This is very similar to any deck box I've owned which has lasted me 10 years in the Phoenix AZ sun and heat with a bit of care and consideration of placement. This has drain holes all around the perimeter of the raised floor so you can simply rinse this out with a garden hose when needed or you can secure this to the ground, utilizing those drain holes with some type of staking system or hardware if needed. The individual panels, can feel a bit unsteady or cheap before it's properly assembled but after that it feels quite sturdy. Although I don't know that I'd want 150 plus pound person/pet sitting on the top without risking the roof from bowing. The pet door doesn't have a flap of any sorts although there are four holes in the door frame which look almost as though there's something made specifically for that purpose, if not you could always install your own flap with a little ingenuity. The hydraulic lid lifts keep the lid in a fully upright position which is great when you're cleaning it, arranging pet bedding or access your pets. I ordered the 32.2" inch size, which can easily accommodate I would say up to a 50 lb dog that's shorter similar to a average size Labrador, but not a long lanky as a Greyhound. This is serving dual purpose for me, during the summer it will be used as a poolside deck box for all the additional pool toys and in the winter it'll serve as shelter for our barn cats. Although I will be installing some type of door flap to shelter them from wind or rain. Only time will tell how long this lasts, but I expect at least 5 years at this point. I'll report back if something changes. Hopefully my video, written and photo reviews are helpful, thank you! ... show more
