This is a review of the 155 piece set, not the 471 piece Tackle Box set. The Fishing lure kit I received comes in a nice little box and has a lot of fishing lures, fishing hooks and other fishing supplies. After removing a few lures etc for inspection, I couldn't fit them all back in the box and still close it. That's a good sign. I recently inherited a few fishing poles and wanted to get some extra supplies and go fishing. I have decided I should do some more fishing in remembrance. I live near one of the Great Lakes and haven't been fishing as much as I should and I still haven't been able to find time to fish. So I must admit, I've not been able to test whether any of these lures are good for actually catching fish or not. Considering that, this review is only about my opinions of the set itself, not the fishing quality of the lures. This 155 piece kit is made for freshwater and saltwater fishing. I feel it kind of leans toward the saltwater side. There are plenty of silicone/rubber worms, a few standard and large lures, spoons, a lot of large hooks, a few normal size hooks and a variety of lead weights. It all comes in a small bright florescent box that I wouldn't nessiserily have called a "Tackle Box". More of a “tackle container" you can put into a Tackle Box. I feel the majority of the hooks they provide are too big for most lakes in the US. They may be large enough for fish in living in the Mississippi River or one of the oceans. The biggest fish in the Great Lakes I live near, is maybe the sturgeon, but they are a very rare monster indeed. I wish the kit leaned more towards freshwater fishing than it does, I think that would have made it more useful to more fisherman. I also would have liked to have seen a few bobbers or corks included, but I guess this is made as more of set of lures. I wouldn't say the lures included are of a very high quality construction, they seem to have been built to a price point. I don't want to sound as if I'm really down on this set. I'm not really. There is enough variety and good here to cover most of a beginner's lure fishing needs. Many of the lures in the set are on the larger side, designed for saltwater fishing, IMHO. I guess they wanted to make it in a “bigger” way. Pun intended. It's an OK starter kit for the price. Since I have not tested the lures in real world sinerio, I'll give them the benefit of doubt and award them 4 stars. Just know what you're getting.

Great assortment of gear to get someone started. This would be good for a kiddo or someone new-to-fishing. Nothing inside is a total "WOW!" but overall this does present as a good value. The spoons, spinner, and box itself are the best part. The spoons and spinner are actually pretty nice and I cant wait to use them at the local pond. The tackle is plenty fine. This will be added to my travel bag with some modification in equipment for keeping in the car for those random times I am able to pull off somewhere and go fishing.

i can't believe the list price at the time of writing is $12.99 there's probably twice that in value here in my opinion, there's a few things I'd probably never actually use like the rubber frogs but most of is good bait and not cheap filler items you'll see in some assortments, it's not premium brand and i expect the hooks to rust if i leave them wet after use so i recommend drying fully before storage and maybe even using appropriate oil if you really want then to stay sharp, vary happy with this item
