Purchased these boots to wear with summer dresses and LOVE them. They are super soft except for the toe box, which you want rigid to maintain the square shape. The shaft is leather, lined with a soft fabric and fits a large calf with room to spare (see pictures) The top of the arch area is tight when wearing socks if you add a 3/4 arch support insole, but I'm sure it will stretch as they are a good soft leather. I would not recommend using a full length arch support as the too box would be too shallow. I think the fit is true, as I wear a 9.5 in Durango brand square toe and a 9.5 in this fits the same. The front edge of the heal is a bit sharp when walking but I'm sure that will wear down with more use. I've only had these for 1 week. Will update on durability in a month or so. ... show more

UPDATE: I’ve had these for a while now, and they have held up to barn/farm work well. I did put an insole with more cushion and support, and these are pretty comfy to move around in. They clean up nicely, and with oil and care, they haven’t cracked or separated. Would 100% recommend for a western riding boot! These are cute ropers that are replacing my old ones. My previous pair pushed on my mid-foot and actually left red marks! I bought these for the ability to lace up and give my mid foot more space. These are great for high arches in that respect. They don’t have a lot of actual arch support, but just giving room in the mid foot (something a lot of boots lack), is amazing. They are narrow through the toe box, so I ordered one size up(usually a size 8.5 and ordered a 9). They are perfect and could fit a slim insole with a thin sock. The heel is supportive with enough flex to get your heels down in the stirrup. I also thought I was going to hate the Kiltie piece, but it’s a cute accent detail. Overall: would definitely order again! Will update after a month or so! ... show more

Y’all. I had a pair of Justins that I had for nearly twenty years. I literally wore the soles off, really needed new boots and came across these. I purchased the 8W because I have volleyball legs🥴. First off, let me describe the lovely, full on leather smell when I opened the box. The heavens opened and I slipped them on. I would sleep in these if I could. They’re buttery soft, leave some room in the calf area and I LOVE THEM. They’re the perfect height for cute dresses, too. If I could give them six stars I would, because these are AMAZING. I ordered a 10 Wide, I’m normally a size 10 but have wide feet and bunions. Didn’t feel like these were wide width at all unfortunately and had to return. I’m sure the regular sizes would be great, the quality seemed nice.
