Feels extremely sturdy when used with my 16” MacBook Pro. Build quality feels excellent; heavy metal is used. It holds the laptop perfectly in place, even without the use of the included screw on clamps. My only gripe is that it adds a tiny bit of height to the monitor arm, raising the laptop screen up to where it’s almost uncomfortable to use. Even with that height, I still love this VESA laptop tray and would gladly buy another if needed!

Most laptop trays have straps to keep the laptop from sliding off. Lots of reviews for laptop trays also complain about the laptops not staying in place w/o these straps. Instead of straps, this one came with metal tabs that are attached with screws in the front. I thought that the tabs & screws would be faster for switching out laptops since I do so frequently. However, it turns out that I don't even need the tabs because all my laptops stay in place on their own - so I just threw the tabs away! The tray is very stable. I would recommend it to anyone. For reference, these are the laptops shown on the stand: - HP Omen 16" Gaming laptop - Macbook Pro - 16" - Macbook Air - 13" (The Rainbow Vomit sticker in the first pic is just a magnet I had on my desk, it doesn't come with the unit.)

Sostiene mi Asus rog strix g 17 sin problemas, se trata de un portátil de 17.3" el cual tiene un peso aproximado de 3 kilos. El único inconveniente aunque me da un poco igual es que las abrazaderas plasticas no se agarran bien a mi portátil y es que este modelo es un tanto delgado( ver las fotos), depronto pueden tener eso en cuenta para una futura actualización del diseño, sin embargo es mi caso particular, he probado con otros portatiles y funciona perfecto, pero en general si hablamos de calidad de construcción este soporte para portátil es de primera calidad.

If you're looking for a sturdy Vesa-compatible laptop mount for your setup, I would highly recommend this product. I particularly chose it because of the arms that you can adjust to perfectly fit the bottom of your laptop guaranteeing that it won't slip out, regardless of the angle you have it set to. Compared to other products that use a dinky elastic strap, I feel much more comfortable trusting this mount with my expensive laptop. My only complaint is that the mount itself is somewhat shallow for larger laptops in which the feet of the laptop may not come in contact with the mount to provide space for airflow. I had to add some adhesive spacers on the upper portion to make sure that it didn't block my laptop's intake fans.

I really like this and am so glad I got it. I have it mounted to my wall below my monitor and then use a wired keyboard and mouse. I don't type directly on my laptop. It's a really nice setup and I like how it is very sturdy and stable. I am not worried about my laptop falling and getting hurt.

Needed a off the desk location for my laptop while still being able to use it as 1 out of 3 screens. Huge 17.3" laptop. This fit right onto my versa tri-arm monitor stand on my sit stand desk. Feels very secure. Adjusted the arms pivot point in order to get the laptop in a more comfortable viewing angle, without allowing it to get top heavy and fall forward out of the tray. I have not installed any attachment band or velcro. Have not seen a need for it yet.

I've got an XPS17 from Dell. This is advertised as being for 17" laptops but it is definitely too small. I decided to keep it as it is the only mount that I found with an angled mount for my dual arm monitor boom. If you have a smaller laptop, I still recommend other mounts as they're much nicer.
