For starters, I'm not one to write reviews so that should be telling as is. At first glance and with the low price I expected low quality but still sort of get the job done. This is anything but that. Its sturdy, does not slip on ANY surface I've put it on, and I LOVE how portable it is. It's small enough to fit in my work bag when collapsed, and its footprint is minimal when fully expanded on my counters for recipes or watching YouTube videos. You can adjust the angle, height, and literally use it anywhere. It works for my laptop, iPad, recipe books, you name it, I'm sure it could hold it. I will be buying a second one just in case I lose this one (yes its that compact) and I'm OBSESSED. I wish I had this sooner!!! Oh, and did I mention there's no assembly its just open the package and go?!

Stupid simple, worth every penny. Much larger and beefier than I was anticipating, which is a positive thing. The scissor arms are a little flimsy, but they serve little function and are perfectly adequate. The little nub that holds the arm in its location is of questionable depth/length, such that I’m not sure how rock solid this thing would be in one of the steeper angles. That said, I’m using it on the farthest hole, which is perfect. This has actually helped my stupid work laptop run much much cooler, and thus is less noisy, which was my goal. Best $8 I’ve probably ever spent outside of a good book.

I bought this for my gaming laptop (16" ASUS ROG Strix) due to it's positive review on a wire-cutting site along with the low cost. While it's not the best option for my computer, I still think it's a great portable stand and well worth considering. Pros: Size: This thing folds down into such a compact size, it's perfect for throwing into your bag and taking wherever you take your laptop to work. The included storage pouch is a nice touch and a great way to keep its compact form. Adjustability: There are several different preset angles you can use based on how you set it up. I tried a few of them and was never wishing it had more. Price: No barrier here - the cost is very low for what you get. Cons: Stability: With my laptop on the stand, I was a little worried about sliding or falling off if the table I was using was bumped or struck by someone or something. While that may not be an issue if you're using it at home or work, I was a little hesitant when I took it to a busy coffee shop. Suitability for larger laptops: Like I mentioned above, my gaming laptop just didn't quite fit this stand. My laptop has more weight in the back which was largely unsupported given the depth of the laptop vs. the stand. This caused the front edge to ride up and sometimes slip over the two tabs/hooks that are intended to prevent it falling. Am I disappointed in my purchase? No, not at all. I knew that my laptop was at the upper end of what this stand would hold, and read the product reviews beforehand. While it didn't work for me, my 11 year old son uses it daily to hold his Chromebook when he's working on school work or watching videos at home, and the portability and small size when folded allows him to also take it with him to school. Conclusion: A great, inexpensive portable laptop stand that works well, as long as your laptop isn't too big or heavy.

Ive been using for a year and love it. I work from home 1 day a week so its great to prop up anywhere and have elevated for more comfort. Being able to adjust it is a great bonus. Grips good my laptop doesn't slip around and quality is really good. Design is compact so easy to pack and go.

Sure, it's not a super stable permanent kind of a base, but for what it is, it surpassed all my expectations! I use it occasionally for video conferences where my camera is a bit too low without the tilt up. This works perfectly well! I don't have to treat is as fragile or anything - stable enough! Love the compact folding it up and keeping aside when not needed. The only thing, it didn't come with a Storrage bag as advertised.

For the most part this stand works exactly as advertised. However the cross-pieces are metal and seem to have some play in how they mount to the ABS plastic parts. This allows some flex and twisting, making it easy for the support legs to pop loose from their positions and develop an asymmetrical condition if you move the stand around. It does not interfere with the intended use once you have things setup. The pads on the feet and arms are really good at preventing marks or scratches. All in all, its a fair piece of kit that is only marred by the plastic being a touch soft in the connections.

I bought this to hold my 16" laptop when I'm working from home. I use a wireless keyboard & mouse so this holds the laptop in the stationary position that I need. The stand has multiple positions, each one sturdy enough to hold the weight of the laptop without a problem. It's virtually weightless so it's easy to move around the desk if I need more space but doesn't glide which I like because I don't have to worry about it moving if I accidentally hit it while working.
