Getting the laptop and monitor off the desk clears so much clutter. The stand is well made and sturdy. Adjust-ability seems to be sufficient for what I needed.

This thing ended up being a little better than I thought it would be. Assembly was easy enough and the components appear sturdy. It is currently supporting a 17" gaming laptop (~7.5 lbs) and a 27" monitor (~8 lbs) and appears to be holding both well. My only issue is with the hardware included for mounting a monitor with a curved back or otherwise recessed VESA mount. The hardware amounts to a set of screws and spacers that were both just a touch too long for my monitor. I was able to get it up, but the screws don't sit quite flush with the VESA plate which creates a possible point of failure. If the screws and/or spacers were a touch shorter, or if they provided some shorter options, this would have been a perfect budget rig for mounting the battle station.

I have a fairly complicated set-up of multiple PC's and five monitors for media production. My primary need was having access to multiple PC keyboards while still being able to play master music keyboards. This looked like a viable solution, and it was. The PC keyboards float over the top of the music keyboards. I can pull them a little closer when I need to do some real typing, like this review, or I can push them back a little to allow full access to the music keyboards below and still hit keys on the PC keyboards. The arms articulate on a single plane meaning they will come towards you or away from you on a horizontal plane. They will not rise vertically. This works for me and is exactly what I needed. The attachment at the end will provide VESA connectivity. I am only using it for keyboard trays as I already have monitor arms. The tray will tilt up and down so that you can angle it towards you. The lip that extends upward from the bottom of the keyboard tray stops the keyboard from falling off when tilted. I am finding it a little high for one thin PC keyboard, and my thumb hits it often when I tap the space bar. I may use a saw to cut it down a bit. A couple of cool things I found was that by attaching the bracket to the pole at a specific orientation, I could limit its travel in one direction and it acts like a door stop so that I don't push the PC keyboard away and have it hit my monitors. Also, I had purchased another different stand for my main 4K monitor, but it has the same diameter pole that comes with this product, so I was able to attach one of the arms to it thereby reducing the clutter on my desk. Ultimately, it's well-made and does exactly what I need it to do. When I first received the package, there was a missing screw. All but two of the screws are in sealed clear plastic, which clearly identifies with letters that correspond to the assembly instructions. Two other screws are pre-installed in the arms and are used to attach the arms to the poles. One of those screws was missing. I would think, this does not happen often, but it required me to make a few calls. It wasn't painless, but the company did fix the issue. They were always very polite on the phone.

Pros: Very sturdy, well made, easy to assemble and install with instructions (took me 20 mins or so), very easy to adjust horizontally (I did have to lightly loosen a few joints...but not by much). If using for a monitor, you can easily rotate from landscape to portrait position and tilt back and forward. Cons: Once you choose a height for the "arm"...you need to use an allen wrench (handily placed on the pole) to adjust it. The arms only articulate on a horizontal plane...meaning you can't adjust the monitor/laptop stand up and down except by changing the height on the pole with the allen wrench. The middle joint on the "arm" has limited range of movement, perhaps a bit less than 90 degrees, so you can't push the monitor all the back toward the pole if it is bent (I'd say I got it about 4" from the pole but only by placing the joint on the pole so it starts as if it's coming out toward the back.) I will add pictures to this review soon to demonstrate my comments above. Overall, a great solution for what I wanted. I had two monitors on my standing desk, and we just got laptops. For a while, I'm using the laptop separately from my dual monitor desktop (possibly forever). There was no room on my standing desk for the laptop, so this device gave me a stand for that as well as replaced the monitor stand that took up room on the standing desk. I was initially concerned about all of this weight on my thin 1/2" likely particle board desktop, but found that the metal framework for the moving part of the desk ran the full length of the desk at the back and front. The clamp is closed on that metal bracket, reinforcing the desktop material without the need to add anything. I was planning to add a 6" x 3" x1/2" pieces of wood to the top and bottom of the desktop when clamping it in place to reinforce and redistribute weight a bit initially, and would still recommend that for thin or glass desktops...but I got lucky and didn't have to. My expectations for more arm movement was likely based on a wall bracket I have for a tv at home that permits it to fold nearly flat to the wall. It is an offset arm at the middle joint. I didn't pay attention to that when looking for a laptop/monitor solution. That said, it does what I need it to do. If you need it to sit almost flat to the back of the desk in any position other than full arm extended out to the side, this won't do that. Also, if you have two monitors on this stand, they can not be on the same level. One will be higher than the other. Overall, for the price...a great and sturdy little set-up. No complaints on my part!
