I love this backpack. It's pretty & practical. I do use it primarily for travel, not day to day use. My laptop & ipad both fit in the padded pockets. The rest of the space is very large. You could put a small purse in there, or your wallet and other things loose. The two front zipper packets are great for things you need to grab fast, passport, boarding pass, etc. I like that you can carry it by the handles or backpack straps. My favorite part about this backpack is that the water bottle pockets on the side fit my 40oz hydroflask. I drink a LOT of water so I like to carry a big water bottle. Most backpacks can't fit this in an outside pocket. I got the purplish maroon color. It's not too pink, very polished and better than your typical black backpack. When I first got it I filled it up to help the frame/shape of it so it would stay open & it worked fine after that. There are two small negatives that might bother others more than me. The main compartment is deep and everything is jumbled up at the bottom. I put my sweater in the bottom so everything sat on that and it made it easer to find things. The other thing is the decorative straps/magnets on the front are longer than the backpack so as you use it, they're starting to curl up. It took me a while to find the type of bag I needed to carry my laptop books, and paper while travelling. I finnally found what I needed. This backpack is not only roomy but has multiple pockets where you can put a variety of items such as charging accessories, water botttle and smaller items in a very organized manner. I've been using this bag daily for a couple years; it is a great work bag! It is large enough to hold my computer, ipad and all the extras! The side pockets are stretchy enough to hold my starbucks coffee mug or water bottle. The best is the opening. It is wide enough to see everything in the bag, study enough to be picked up by the opening and the zipper has never failed. I would highly recommend. ... show more

I was wary of all the glowing reviews for this bag, but decided to take a chance, and I am so glad. work and homeschool at home, and we are constantly moving from place to place, so I bought this bag as an "in-house" project bag, to carry my art and business supplies from room to room, and it works beautifully for that, but I also took it on a cross country trip as a travel backpack, and it was fantastic. It has an obviously well-thought out design, with many pockets, all of which have more than one possible use, it holds an extraordinary amount of stuff (and is well balanced when worn on both shoulders), and it is exceptionally sturdy. Clearly, people who actually use backpacks and understand functionality were involved in creating this bag. The only warning I have - and it's not really a reason to knock off any star, but some people might need to know - is that the zipper design at the top is a little awkward and sometimes needs to be closed with two hands. It allows for the bag to sit open, without flopping, which is fantastic, but some people might need to know in advance that it needs two hands to close at times. ... show more

I really like this bag and even though some of the reviews had me a bit worried I decided to go with it. The price was great, not too expensive but still had what I desired in a bag, a ton of pockets to keep items separated. The opening of the bag has a rigid opening, it’s sturdy so it’s not going to flop like other bags, there is metal framing in the zipper area. In addition to the regular back straps the bag has two straps to hold the bag from the top. I’ll list the pockets: inside in the sides there are two pocket where you hold things like pens or a cell phone etc. INSIDE of one of the pockets, on the side is a zipper for you to place a portable battery pack to charge your phone (a cord is provided to connect the battery pack to the bag and the port to charge is connected to the outside of the bag. Also inside on the back of the bag is a padded pocket where you can slide in a laptop and a slightly smaller pocket (also padded) where you can probably slide in a tablet device or even notebooks, I use mine for notebooks. On the inside, but on the front of the bag is another pocket, smaller and zippered but still deep enough to hold items and attached to that pocket are two open pocket sections. On the outside of the front are two pockets one abode another but the one above does reach down to the bottom of the bag and is basically behind the lower pocket. The lower pocket is typical of all book bags but the inside can hold a lot of items. I’ll attach a picture for this. There is also a zippered pocket in this section, behind the open pockets, and a smaller open mesh section. In this pocket is a small keychain to attach your keys to so they don’t get lost in the bag. Additionally, on each side of the outside are two deep pockets with elastic tight to whatever water bottles you place in there. The pockets are deeper than I expected (good thing), bottles won’t fall out. Lastly but certainly not least (I almost missed it), is a hidden pocket on the back of the bag (between the straps) it is barely noticeable. Over all the bag seems great, sturdy and professional. The straps are comfortable, and the fabric seems durable. My ONLY complaints are that the button snaps on the front of the bag seem kind of loose, but because the pocket there is zippered it should be okay and the “leather” trim seems just kind of “meh”, but the color is good. Also…you’ll have to provide your own battery pack, the bag just has a connection to plug in the phone, it won’t charge it without the pack attached to the inside. ... show more
