The media could not be loaded. I have a couple 30+ gallon gas caddies with no bottom valve, so the gas must be drawn up/out. The video shows it working. I dropped a 1/2" PVC down as a suction tube and ran the hose to the pump. When the tank is full it only has to lift the fuel a foot or two, but this had no problem sucking the fuel out all the way to the bottom of the tank, which as you can see is about a 4' lift. Also shown is that it is pushing the fuel through two filters (one to remove water and sediment, and the second is a finer sediment filter; I forget the micron rating but not really relevant). After filling the "reverse" mode is handy to remove excess gas from the line and filters. Assembly and installation were easy and straight forward. Use gas thread tape or pipe sealant, and tighten really well. One thing I'd recommend would be to mount it (I fastened it to the tank so it would not move around). I just got it so I can't speak to durability yet, but so far I like it, and pumped about 15 gallons in one shot without any problem.

Purchased this gem to evacuate a gas tank of 24 gallons of gas to replace a fuel pump. Hooked it up and it ran like a charm pumping out the gas. It also works both directions which is a plus on occasion. While I haven't used it for multiple years, it definitely did the job I needed, and the self priming function was superb. Highly recommended.

i used the pump to evacuate 12 gallons of diesel from a boat fuel tank. i had to buy some 3/8" fuel hose. the pump primed immediately but was very close to the tank. it quickly filled the 2 diesel jugs with 4 gallons each then i came back for the last 4 gallons. i then removed the hose fittings from the pump and screwed in the included plugs for storage. you need to use teflon tape on the fittings to prevent leaks.

This fuel transfer kit comes complete and ready to assemble. Tank is not included. Fuel nozzle is very simple. I would recommend this kit for anyone needing a basic feel transfer kit.

Fwd/reverse switch was a bit too shallow; toward the battery, so you might need an extension. Other than that, should have bought something like this years ago. No more hand pumping of anything.

I used this pump for 12 min and it over heated and shut down was pumping 5w warm machine oil. For the price this pump should be better. Return window closed bought it in plans for a future job which was today, So now I am stuck with the useless Over heating unit. 12 min duty cycle Good luck guys !!

I used it a couple of times to pump gasoline and warm (not hot) oil and it worked fine. I just pulled it out to move some water and it wasn't working at all. I opened it up and the impeller blades are gone. I never ran it dry so I have no idea what happened.
