It uses a patented eccentric drive pumping technology, with pressure-lubricated cam and bushings, for increased performance, efficiency, and benchmark durability. The Fuel Control Actuator (FCA) uses high-quality corrosion-resistant components and proprietary features to prevent large debris from entering the actuator, providing exceptional robustness for longevity and durability in harsh environmental conditions. I purchased this pump as my original Cp4 pump failed on my 2021 f350, I had the ford dealership install it. The pump has been on my truck for over three months and I have not had any fuel issues or check engine lights. Definitely recommend this pump even as an upgrade from the common known bad Cp4 pumps that are known to fail and cause costly repairs! Pump came with good packaging. I posted pictures of the upgraded fuel lines but can’t really take a picture of the pump as it sits in the valley of the engine. ... show more

Like all, not some, but all the comments say, this kit fit perfect and the instructions are written extremely well. The extended warranty on my truck expired and having known of the CP4 issue, it was only a few days before i ordered the S&S kit. I had already done my research so i knew what i was in for, cost and time wise. To me, a 2000 dollar investment (before the price went up) was cheap insurance against the disaster that might happen hanging over my head. The job took me about 16 hours but that included replacing a plastic coolant pipe that broke when i tried to remove it which I didnt really need to do anyways. It was old and brittle.... I also replaced all my idler pulleys while in there and changed the belt. Part of those 16 hours spent included dipping and cleaning the intake manifold of the 100k miles worth of soot. Kit went together like a glove and when finished it fired right up. Thats been a few months ago now and have not had one issue or problem. Being that new trucks are 70-100k, I plan on keeping my truck a long time so this was without doubt a worthwhile investment. Thank you S&S for putting this kit ont he market!! ... show more

Well, I bit the bullet and bought this. Very expensive but, since the dealer was doing the front engine cover and oil pan, I was able to save some money on the install while they had it apart. The mechanic said everything fit perfect. Guess you cannot put a price on Peace of mind. If the old pump would have gone bad it would cost about $12000 to fix and I would still have the same type of pump. ... show more
