Description

FORD 6.7L POWER STROKE CP4 PROBLEMThe CP4 has a well-earned reputation for failing without warning, creating sudden power loss, and taking out the expensive high-pressure fuel system in the process. Despite having to deal with being broken down on the side of the road, truck owners will be facing fuel system repairs that can easily exceed $10,000. The unreliable reputation is supported by recalls and lawsuits leveled at various auto manufacturers that use the CP4 in their production vehicles.DIRECT DROP-IN SOLUTIONRemoving the CP4 is the obvious solution, yet developing a durable plug-and-play CP4 replacement with OE fit and function is the game-changing catalyst created by S&S Diesel Motorsport and PurePower. Starting off with a proven Stanadyne DCR fuel pump design, a joint team of S&S and PurePower engineers developed a variant specifically for the Ford 6.7L Power Stroke that matches the CP4 output curve and does not require any calibration changes. Combining that with OE-grade braided hose and steel fuel lines gives Ford Super Duty owners a more-reliable CP4 replacement that looks and performs like original equipment.DURABLE DCR HIGH-PRESSURE FUEL PUMPThe two-piston DCR pump is based on a compact and modular design for easy integration, has low hydraulic and acoustical noise, features ultra-fast response times, and is biofuel and low- lubricity fuel compatible. It uses a patented eccentric drive pumping technology, with pressure-lubricated cam and bushings, for increased performance, efficiency, and benchmark durability. The Fuel Control Actuator (FCA) uses high-quality corrosion-resistant components and proprietary features to prevent large debris from entering the actuator, providing exceptional robustness for longevity and durability in harsh environmental conditions. The DCR can provide a max fuel delivery of 1,250 mm3 per revolution (25% more than a CP4.2), producing plenty of flow for worn injectors that have high return.PROTECT PRODUCTIVITYThe S&S Diesel Motorsport Ford 6.7L CP4 to DCR Pump Conversion can save Ford Super Duty truck owners $10,000 to $15,000 in fuel system repairs, and impart peace of mind knowing that their daily workhorse isn’t going to lay down on them. The DCR Pump Conversion is emissions compliant (SEMA Cert SC-SDM01-0034) and fits 2011 to current Ford F250-F750 diesel trucks. The S&S-PurePower engineering team has validated DCR Conversions all over North America, in all types of conditions and climates, with the goal of bringing a well-refined and proven product to the market.

  • Easy install / great kit!
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
Factory fit and finish, packaged very well, clear instructions, and the truck runs great! Nice having peace of mind not worrying if the CP4 will decide ton ruin everything. Took about 6.5 hours to install.

  • Every 6.7 Owner a must
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
Great kit with very good instructions... It's a tuff job to install, it took me and a Marine to get it in! Truck runs great! Plug and play. And no more worries about a $20,000.00 fix

  • Great Upgrade
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
Although it was a little more than just a couple of hours to install this it did work a lot better than my factory pump. With the performance upgrades that I have it is nice to know I don't have to worry about a failing pump now.

  • Worthy investment if you are keeping your PSD.
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
I installed this on my 2013 Ford F250 with the supervision of a mechanically inclined friend. This is a great investment in my opinion. New trucks are just too expensive, this will ensure longevity of your diesel. It took all day to install, topside creeper is a must, as well as a electric ratchet. You will need a 27mm fan clutch removal tool and crows foot sockets. Instructions are very detailed and well illustrated. Install looks OEM, truck performs as expected with a slight bump in mpg. ... show more

  • Not really a do-it-yourselfer job
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
I've been a diesel mechanic for 30 years. While this kit was not that difficult to install, I have more tools than the normal DIY does and lots more experiance. This is the first one I've done and it took me 10 hours, I also used Ford IDS to reset the fuel table at the end of the job, not sure if you really need to but in the Ford service manual it specifies you do it after you've changed pumps. Basically what I'm saying is this kit is totally worth it, but unless you are REALLY good with your hands and you have a good tool set, have a shop do it. ... show more

Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
Install is not that difficult. Formative instructions, quality kit, price point is awesome. Thanks for building quality pump! One hella kit!

  • A must for the 6.7
Model: 6.7F-DCR-1
This kit is pricey but worth it. Nice to have the peace of mind that the CP-4 is not under my hood anymore. Don’t need a disaster prevention kit with the CDR installed either. The parts are high quality and the fuel lines are perfectly bent. Couldn’t be happier. 2020 F350 6.7L
