This amp is not the best thing out there, nor is it a true 800-watt amp. I have 2 Kicker comp r 10's and they feel they are underpowered. I am using both channels to power them and running to 4 ohms. Either way, this amp is SO GOOD for the money, the bass boost on it is pretty legit, the gain works fine, but the crossovers are a bit iffy. Either way, I would recommend this for people who want/have subs. Especially if you are running 2 ohms. I haven't had any issues. ... show more

    • Perfect for what I needed
First of all. I am NOT I repeat I am NOT in any way knowledgeable about sound systems or cars for that matter. The only Ohms I know are the ones my wife grunts out during her online yoga classes. So with that being said this amp was perfect for what I needed. For my midlife crisis I bought an old jeep. It's awesome, but over the sound of the old engine, oversized tires and my squeals of glee I could not hear the music playing. I tried installing new speakers and cranking the stereo to 50 and I could not hear the 70s jams unless I was at a stop sign soooooo I looked up amps. I found this one on Amazon and it was not high priced so I said why not?!!! I wanted 2 things...1. To install an amp that if someone who really needed an amp for their car saw a Jeep without a top or any security and took advantage of the situation I would not be out a bunch of money and 2. I wanted to Rock you like a Hurricane. With this amp... I have both. ... show more

    • Works pretty decently for a cheep amp.
*Update* had this amp for 2 years now! Still works like new ! Oddly enough i have been through 2vsets of subs since then, its currently pushing an alpine r series and a c2 competition pro in a ported box, verry loud clean bass. Would definately recommend lanzar for the price. I bought this amp about a month ago, it works pretty nicely, nice clean bass, hit my 12" dual subs nicely. mind you its not like fantastic or anything, i had to max out all the settings to get and decent vibration out of the car but overall it sounds good, i have been leaving the bass-boost off because it seems to my the bass really crappy more than actually boosts it. it dose seem to get pretty warm, but it hasn't over heated one time and ive even taken it on 8 hour drives a few times full blast most of the way. overall i like this. ... show more

First off... I needed an amp that was strong enough to push my Boss cx122d 1400 watt peak sub, and all I have to say is.... this amp is it!!! Now understand, im running two amps for my setup (one for my highs & mids, one for my sub). All together, at combined peak power both amps push 1200 watts. My setup consists of 10 total speakers, so even with low powered amps, my setup was still at a decently leveled loudness, I just wanted more loudness and deeper bass. So I went out and picked up this amp to push the sub, and WOW! This amp has never gotten hot, never lacked power, never had ANY issues with it. The amp is very small and low profile, you'll be scratching your head at first glance of this amp, but leave no doubt.. IMO, two thumbs up for this product!!! ... show more

This amp was just a giant let down for me. I figured with an 800 watt amp I would be future proof if i wanted to get a sub later on down the road. Currently I wanted to just amp my rear speakers, which can take 75 watts rms. I open up the manual and what do I see. 35w RMS x2 @4ohms. I doubt this amp will even put out anywhere near the supposed 800 watts bridged at 2 ohms, since unbridged at 2 ohms its still a whopping 70 watts rms. That was the first big let down... THEN despite all of this i decided to hook it up. I figured if i didnt like the results I could just return it and get a better amp. I didn't have the choice to return it, I HAD to return it. With in THREE minutes of powering on this amp, something failed internally. It started giving constant voltage to the right speaker. It would just pop up and stay there. Switch the outputs and it would happen to the other speaker. Wire it back up to the head unit? Problem gone. So even at the lowest power output, and level at the lowest, this amp could not take more than 3 minutes at normal volume. I wouldn't trust this thing to power anything, at all. And don't say it was my set-up. I used Lanzars 4 gauge wiring kit (more like 8 gauge, thanks Lanzar) to wire it all up. 4(8) gauge directly to battery terminal, with a fusible link within 4 inches of the battery terminal. All of the wiring routed the same way the factory wiring goes. Everything was good wiring wise. The amp just failed on me, powering two 5x7 speakers. I cant imagine how fast this thing would blow if hooked up to a power hungry sub.. Also, there is no gain on this amp. Only level. So I had no idea how much amperage this amp was sending to my speakers. This is just overall, a terrible amp. STAY AWAY! ... show more

At first, I was worried of buying this amp because of some of the reviews; however, this is a great product! It is connected to a set of audiobans and the sound is clean. This amp lets you modify the sound to your preference, which is great because if you have a good stereo system, this allows you to really get the sound you are looking for. I will try to update this products performance in quarterly intervals. Note: I did receive a defective product in my first order. Amazon shipped a replacement the next day. I didn't make anything of it since accidents happen when manufacturing products. Update: Amp is still going strong! A year down, many more to go.. ... show more

What i liked is that it arrived quickly and was well packaged. This amp has pretty good power and has a simple design. I have it power two kicker 10s and it does just what i want. The only complaints i have is that the screws for the ground, power, and remote are kinda weak and the terminals for them are small. Decent amp for the price. ... show more

    • It pushes a planet audio 8 perfect. Hand made box, sounds good. Gain at 3/4 for reciever.
Close to correct output. Missed by 100 watts. Ok revise. This amp worked good for 5 months. Then just quit. No protection light or anything. Just done. I do not recommend this amp at all.
