  • Amazing!
I had my doubts about this rower due to how inexpensive it was. (Plus there was a $50 off coupon when I purchased), but this thing is blew me away! Easy to assemble, sturdy and solid, and delivers a butt kicking workout! I’m 5’10 and it’s plenty big enough for me. The adjustable hydraulic is great! And the separate arms make for a fantastic upper body workout with with being to change how you move your arms. If you’re on the fence about a compact rower - buy it! You won’t be disappointed! ... show more

  • Budget Hydraulic Rower
Seems well made...nice looking piece of equipment. Velcro foot straps really stick but I recognize need for that. Assembly was easy enough. Compact size is just what I was looking for.

  • Packs a punch for a portable rower
I was skeptical about this lightweight rower but it's exceeded my expectations. My fiance is still determined to buy an expensive water rower but I'm so happy with this machine, I'll probably stick with this one. I absolutely LOVE the realistic arm movements. For anyone who's done any real rowing, it simulates this movement very well. It does lose resistance after about 20 minutes of rowing but after taking a break, this bad boy builds the resistance right back. This rower is great for people with minimal space and who are trying to get back into shape. It also serves as a great cool down after an intense workout or an excellent addition to High Intensity workouts. I wouldn't hesitate to buy this. It fits under my bed, leaned against a wall and is light enough to bring on a road trip. It counts your strokes and calories. It's not fancy but it works. Totally worth every penny. ... show more

  • Just what the doctor ordered.
The Lanos Hydraulic Rowing Maxhine is literally, just what the doctor ordered . As things began to shut down here in New Jersey , and shelter in place orders were issued , it became clear to me that my days of taking long run /walks in the park for cardio and weight control would be numbered . As an alternative I wanted to find a cardio machine that was affordable while not taking up too much space; the Lanos rower perfectly fit both of those criteria. When the order arrived, my wife and I worked together to assemble the machine- it was a fun and easy project on a rainy March afternoon- this is a plus, because I am not very mechanical and , honestly, if I can put it together , anyone can put this together with out much trouble . All the tools you need for assembly are included with the easy to follow instructions, it took us at most 30 minutes to assemble. Since that day, I’ve been enjoying a good cardio workout on the machine . The great thing about a rower is that while it helps get your heart rate up, it also works your arms, legs, back and core for a good total body workout. I highly recommend this product for anyone wishing to maintain a level or fitness or to those hoping to get into shape . As with any exercise, consult your physician before beginning a work out routine. ... show more

  • Ok but not great
Pros: Seems sturdy for the price. Easy assembly. It doesn’t “fold up” but it does stand on end to take up less space when not in use. Cons: The resistance knob is difficult to get to and impossible to see the setting unless you lay on the floor. The range of resistance goes from non-existent to still pretty easy (I have next to no experience in rowing and my first session I was already on the most difficult setting). The seat doesn’t roll smoothly on the track. I haven’t trouble shot it yet but it feels like the track on the left side has divots in it. It’s not terrible, just a minor annoyance. There is no rubber on the feet so as you row the machine slowly walks backwards on smooth surfaces. In a 15 minute session it moves back about 2 feet for me. I bought a mat to put under it to hopefully stop it from sliding. The most egregious fault is that the foot straps don’t keep your shoes hooked in no matter how tight you put them. I believe the back ledge on the foot rest isn’t tall enough to hold your heel in place and so your feet slip out of the straps. Overall, for the price I’m not disappointed but the annoyances could be cheaply and easily fixed from the factory. ... show more

  • Works fantastic !
Update: April 22, 2020 I have used for awhile now and still love it. I row with “paddles” and arms outstretched to stretch and cool down. I pull straight back for fast intervals. I row for 20 minutes a day. I’ve lost weight. This little machine works great for me. Compact, only weighs 34 pounds so I can move it. I’m 65, female, out of shape. I have the resistance low and it gives me a safe workout. I get my heart rate up and start sweating. Great, low impact workout. Everything works smoothly. I have it on a yoga mat in my sunroom. If you’re super fit , young, marathon type , total workout person then it might be too wimpy for you. Some have complained that the heel rest on the pedals are too small to keep your foot in. No problem. Take the 4 inch Velcro strap they gave you and move it to the back holes closest to your heel. Then go get a 1 inch or 2 inch Velcro roll. Cut some to thread through the upper holes. With my feet strapped in top and bottom, the pedals work just fine. See photo. Very happy with how it works. ... show more

  • Decent machine for the price.
What I like about this product is that for my needs, it's perfectly suitable. If you are aiming to get ripped. This machine is not for you. If you need a gentle rythmic form of exercise, it's a decent machine, especially for the price. The reviews that say the parts break, especially the foot holders, are likely true. They are not designed to withstand pressure, so, be gentle with this machine and it should hold up pretty well. I've never rowed a boat that had foot holds so, as far as I'm concerned, this machine mimics the rowing of a boat. If you want a machine you can hit hard, spend a couple grand or get a gym membership. If you want a nice, gentle rythmic work out, and have a small budget, this machine is a good choice. ... show more
