This was a super fun project. Very detailed little things to make. The instructions were pretty easy to follow, and there's no real painting or cutting out, which is a bonus. There are punch outs and stickers for the paper details. I'm still a novice at miniatures, but here's a few pointers I'm learning along the way: use Tacky Glue, and use it in a glue syringe with fine needles to get the tiny stuff just right. Tweezers are a must. Small jewelry pliers are really helpful for bending wires in a round shape. Get a small mm ruler, you'll need it. Super glue areas you need to glue quickly, but know that it sort of dissipates with a fine cloudy appearance around it, even if you're careful, and DON'T use it on objects meant to be clear-lesson learned. Use a scalpel to carefully cut the tiny wood pieces out, or you may end up accidentally breaking a piece while trying to get it out of the sheet. And try to be precise when lining things up or you may end up with pieces not joining perfectly. Look ahead in the directions to make sure you're putting it together correctly. Would definitely recommend this kit!

Super fun to build. The pieces were cut so clean. The directions are straight forward of you've built things in the past. Wasn't difficult just requires patience. Some of beeds can get a little confusing. The lights seem hard but are easy. I was also short 4 gold screws for hing. Also a latch on other side would be help to keep it closed all the way.

The media could not be loaded. So I was recovering from surgery for two months and needed something to do.. I had found a few of these type of projects at my local craft store and loved them. So I ordered a few more to keep me busy. This particular one was definitely not for any type of beginner. I absolutely loved doing it, even though it took me about 4 days to complete. I am in love with how it turned out, which is amazing! However…. It does not come with the glue you need and no just any glue won’t work, and I was missing an essential page of stickers. The directions are not easy to follow, but you really can not beat the price. Some pieces break easy so quality is so so but put together it is beautiful. I had a lot of fun putting it together even if it was through clenched teeth and cuz words.

Ditto to all the raves. Just wanted to add a few must haves to work smarter, not harder... 1. Brush-on nail glue (works brilliantly) 2. Tweezers (straight and angled) 3. Detailed-tip hot glue gun 4. Wire snippers 5. Precision scissors 6. Glue tape runner 7. Quick dry craft glue 8. Tape measure w/ centimeters 9. Precision snap-blade utility knife (Scotch brand is awesome) 11. Needle-nose pliers (for scrolls) 12. TIME and PATIENCE!!! I know this sounds like a lot, but most items are already likely laying around the house...especially if you're a crafter and I promise will make the experience so much easier and enjoyable. Tips: 1. Thoroughly read and understand the construction process BEFORE applying any glue. 2. Place items in position for spacing and accuracy BEFORE applying and glue. Give yourself plenty of time for the best detail and outcome, you'll be happy you did. This has been my favorite miniature to date, they really manufactured a great product. Buy it and enjoy, you'll be so happy with the finished product.

I’ve done around 20 or more kits, this one is my absolute favorite! It’s really cute, with a lot of detail and little baubles to make, which is my favorite part. I think bad words only came out of my mouth one time and that was because I dropped a bead on the floor never to be found again. The only trouble I had was figuring out the placement of a couple of the wood pieces in the rounded window. The instructions were a little confusing. However, I really liked how well the wood pieces were marked. If you are a Harry Potter fan, you’ll love this! Lots of nods to HP.

The outside of the box appeared unopened, but the kit was partially assembled and returned by a previous customer. Some parts were missing and others were unusable.
