Before buying this particular pouch, I read the reviews and reviews on other similar pouches and kept reading it's Not waterproof. I found that NOT to be true! It's recommended that you test it by submerging it in water for over an hour... I did and it was fine. One word of caution, it is very large... larger than my cell phone. the size of this waterproof case is great. It kept the water out. We used it under water while snorkeling. We used the video function. it worked well and picked up everything. You can not tap any buttons under the water though. They worked perfectly.
