Arrived in plastic wrap. Opened it and the smell was fine. Color is what was expected, and it did feel a bit scratchy. It was put straight into normal quick wash (not delicate) on warm-hot not full-hot. Then put in fully hot dryer for 45 minutes. The great news is it stood up to laundering did not shrink, at all. Did not fade. Also, the scratchy feel was improved by wash and the wrinkles from being folded and shipped were removed. The cover measured slightly over size of the futon we have, which we did to air on the side of caution and the fit is correct. This cover was able to be put on with one person wrangling it while the futon was on frame in couch position by starting on bottom edge first and bringing the front and back up over top of futon. The zipper is white and zips from both sides. If you have furbabies or people in fuzzy clothing/blankets that lay on this, you might want to get yourself a lint roller to keep it fuzz and hair free. It does not release hair and fuzz as easily as some materials. But a lint roller does work well. ... show more

Very nice cover, great thickness color and feel, however i came across this listing as a result of me searching “pet hair resistant” it very much is not, pet hair sticks more than most futon covers I’ve tried, so not pet friendly.

The material on this is nice and person. I have a thicker futon mattress (8”) and find that the zippered ones stay on way better! Keeps the mattress clean and feels high enough quality to be comfortable to sit on.

I like how the green color looks and like how it fits, but its slippery and rough on the skin for sleeping so its not really comfortable. I find myself every night putting a fitted sheet over it so i can have something silky to sleep on. Shop around more. This one sucks for every day use.

i bought this cover to put over my used futon. I was really satisfied with the rust color I purchased. It was rich and bright and livened up the futon. The linen fabric is really durable and doesn't stain easily. It's also washable in cold water. Make sure to dry low or air dry because it will shrink a little. The only issue I had with it was that the zipper-pull slipped out at the end of the zipper. I wasn't able to put it back in. This is mostly a nice futon cover; however, you should wash before you use. It has a weird smell. It does fit my futon but it is a very tight fit. I do have a futon with springs in it, so it is extra thick. There was a small hole in the fabric, but I'm gonna keep it nonetheless. It is a nice thick, sturdy fabric.
