I've recently begun to do a lot of oil paintings and so I bought these because it specified that these were suitable for oil painting. As soon as I tried applying my walnut oil though it started to absorb right into the canvas which has never happened to me before and definitely does not seem normal. I do believe tho that after an addition coat of gesso they should work well enough for what I bought them to do.
