This Air Force A-2 flight bomber jacket is made to the same unyielding standards as the authentic A-2 military version. Soft, durable genuine lamb touch supple nappa leather is sewn with dual entry pockets, plus ribbed cuffs and hem for optimal fit and comfort. Imprinted WWII U.S. flag lining. Insulated polyester filling adds extra warmth for winter. Suede leather version is also available. If the difference between the chest and the overarm measurement is greater than 7 inches, order the next larger size. Chest: Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping tape up under the arms and across the shoulder blades. Keep your arms relaxed. Waist: Measure around the waist where you normally wear your pants (measure over your shirt, but not over slacks or belt). Neck (Collar): Take a well-fitting dress shirt, lay the collar flat and measure from the center of the neck button to the beginning of the buttonhole.     • One really odd element of jacket construction

Has everyone received the same product? The jacket that was sent to me turns out to be neither the luxurious leather garment that some reviewers have praised nor the piece of junk that others have complained about. It's the first of several leather bomber jackets I've owned that has no smell of leather, but I'm ready to take the seller's word that it's leather of some sort. It fits well, it looks good and, for the quite reasonable price I paid, I'm a mostly satisfied customer. There is, though, one (quite extraordinary) element of the jacket's construction that, had I known about it in advance, would have kept me from ordering it. The beige material that lines the body of the jacket stops where the sleeves begin. Thus, the body is lined and the sleeves are unlined, as a consequence of which my arms can get cold (really cold) in outdoor temperatures at which the rest of me (i.e., chest, back, etc.) are protected and comfortable. If it were the other way around, I might wear a vest under the jacket. But there's no garment I know of that will cover the arms only. Which limits oddly and unnecessarily the range of temperatures in which I can wear this item. Those unlined arms in a jacket that's otherwise lined are something I've never seen before -- not only in similar jackets but in any garment I've ever had that was meant to provide some protection from the weather. If it represents an effort on the part of the manufacturer to cut production costs (and I can't imagine what else it might signify), I'd respectfully suggest that lining the sleeves and adding a couple of bucks to the price would be a better idea. ... show more

You get what you pay for. The leather is real but it is super thin. The pictures I have added shows the difference between a quality leather thickness and the thickness of this product. Also notice how robust the stitching is on the older jacket compared to this product. If you are expecting a thick heavy leather like you find in quality leather garments, you will be disappointed. I owned a good quality A2 that gave me 16 years of wear and this jacket is about half the weight of that one with weaker stitching. I'm afraid this one will end being returned, rather than be a constant loyal companion I was hoping for like I got from other jackets. As for the color... It's not even close to brown. (See photo) I went with distressed brown because brown seemed too dark and I was looking for lighter brown. Distressed drown is almost black with a slight tinge of brown. Sadly, with how thin and delicate the leather is, it will never get to a distressed state without tearing or ripping. Over all, this jacket is pretty low quality. If you want just something that you can call leather and wear out on the town every once in a while, this is the jacket for you. If you want a jacket that will last you years, have the look and feel of a true flight jacket and quality, don't expect much from this... Now time to figure out how to return it. ... show more

    • Jacket GREAT! Seller, not so great!
Size: XX-Large Tall Color: Brown
This is my second jacket, the first one, an Extra Large, was returned for credit. This one, an XXL-Tall, fits me just perfectly. I love the jacket, its what I expected, and feels great on me. A word of caution to anyone wanting to buy this jacket, the sizing chart at top of the page is confusing. There are three charts at top of the page, one the seller has as a graphic on the left side, but way too small to be able to see, one that is a drop down window that says "SELECT, and a third that says "Size Chart". All three are not coordinated with each other, very confusing. To get the fourth chart, you need to SCROLL DOWN to the sellers "Product Description" which shows nice clear shots of the jacket and below that, a fourth size chart. That chart seems to be on target, use that one. I can't understand for the life of me why the seller has three charts and Amazon has the a fourth one!!! The other complaint I have for the seller, is they take the jacket, and fold it into about a foot and half by foot square, and when you remove it from the very tight plastic wrap, its ALL WRINKLED UP!!! The seller obviously isn't concerned with how it looks, only concern is to get it in a small package. What a shame!!! I've purchased a click type belt recently that was wrapped like it was a crown jewel, this jacket company should learn to package their nice product like its a beautiful jacket instead of a pile of leather. I still gave it five stars, the jacket gets 5 stars, the seller gets 1 star! It is my hope to help future purchasers of this product, and i highly suggest to buy larger than your size or you will end up with Chinese size which will be smaller than you'd hoped for. ... show more
