  • Nicely made, needs a few tweaks for me
The media could not be loaded. Assembly: Put it together easily, yes you have to be a strong person, 50+ screws you need to screw in with no pilot holes. But they go in fine I didn’t have a single problem. The unit is big, but only needed an extra person One time to flip the alley around a few times. The pieces all fit perfectly, pretty good quality from a assembly perspective. Game Play: In general out of the box it’s not good, a few things they got wrong: 1. Rubber balls, these bounce and aren’t fun, I bought 4 wood balls off amazon for 20.00 and it feels much better. (Feels like real skee ball vs lousy plastic rubber bouncy balls) 2. The score computer is loud and obnoxious, and it doesn’t count balls, so you have no idea how many shots you have taken/to go, this is the worst, makes it no fun. 3. The holes the balls go into our all the same size and backboard is made of plastic so it flexes and makes it hard to get any points. Real skee ball has different size rings for 30, 40, 50 so it’s easier to score. Their are also no 100 corners, so it’s not that much fun. You get bored pretty quickly because you don’t score and you have no idea how many balls you have rolled. The unit is big, long so for me in CA not worth the space for something that doesn’t play well at all. DIY Hack: 1. Bought wood balls 2. Cut length down by 2 ft. 3. Make a wood/partial board base with white sized rings. I intend to do these hacks and keep the unit. Might use a Rasberry Pi and make a proper scoring/ball count Device. I will upload photos when I’m done. Summary: The unit is big, long and pretty, as nice as the photographs look. With wood balls it’s ok, but needs the hacks to be awesome. -eric ... show more

  • Just OK
I've been circling around buying this for quite some time and finally bit the bullet. Note that it gets delivered freight in a semi with curb delivery. They do call ahead to schedule which is helpful so someone was home to be able to cart it from the curb to our door. Its a very long, heavy box as expected so be prepared it requires two people to move. Pros: Fun to play. Lights up and play by play sound. Assembly was fairly easy except for a couple pieces not being numbered as well as some pieces numbering not match the instruction manual. I put it together myself for the most part with a power drill in around 6 hours. Cons: Finishing a bit rough in places. Edges of boards rough/peeled. One side of the alley had the wood (aka particle board) chipped. Plexiglass had some scuffing/scratches. Two boards had water damage with one having evidence of mold (see photo). This was my main sticking point for the loss of stars on my rating. There is no reason for this. I treated the board and ultimately ended up sawing a portion off which worked out ok and didn't affect its support/function. Target is rather flimsy plastic. I purchased wooden balls as the other reviewer suggested and these went into the target holes much nicer than the green plastic balls. Although the alley looks pretty slick, I think the cabinet portion (that houses the target) looks pretty hokey (now I get this unit wasn't very expensive and you get what you pay for, but still like to note). With all that being said, bottom line: Would I buy this again? Probably not. Edited 1-23-19: After playing it some more and adding the color changing lights along the lane (see photo), I have to say we are having a ton of fun with this. My son goes to it first over the other games. It’s quite addicting! Edited 8-27-2021: This thing is still going strong and fun as when we first bought it. A few stickers peeled off of the targets and if u have small children, u may want to add some supports under the lane. Just wanted to provide some insight a few years in. ... show more

  • Made with extremely cheap pressboard
The idea behind the product is a good one but the materials to make the product are extremely cheap. This is the cheapest press board I've ever seen it's worse than a solder piece of furniture. Instead of having drill holes some pieces have a little tiny black dot so you either need to be really strong to screw the sum of the screwdriver or you absolutely have to have a drill handy. The holes that were drilled very seldom matched up. You can see in the picture that's got the clear shield The hole is not even close to where the plastic hole lines up. The material is so flimsy when we put the bottom piece of it together it tore right through the side. The biggest problem I have is when the balls go into the hundreds scoring on the top they get stuck between the back of the thing and the board that's supposed to connect to that to slide down The board is about two and a half to three inches too short and the balls get stuck behind their nonstop. The track that you slide the balls down is just a giant flimsy sticker which I'm sure is going to fade into nothing in no time. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. I'm sure the kids will have fun with it while it lasts but it is not going to last very long. ... show more

  • timeless fun that never gets old
placed order and received before it was supposed to arrive. what a pleasant surprise. first of all you will need your own tools to drill pilot holes etc. Directions were not the best so it helps to have a second person on hand to look them over. Do not do what I did and try to turn game over by yourself. A second person is definitely needed. After game is set up it is loads of fun. From time to time a ball gets stuck up top but it is probably due to me assembling something wrong. My wife and I have lots of fun challenging each other and the game is a hit at parties. Balls are not too heavy so any damage by an errant roll is minimized. If directions were better or if they offered a you tube video on how to put it together it would have been a 5 star review. We definitely would recommend this game though. ... show more
