So, yea, buying the same product three times may seem like a discredit to the craftsmanship of said product. That is absolutely not the case when talking about the Lumbrella umbrella! I am always losing my umbrella. Whether it is on the bus escaping a downpour, or backpacking through Northern Minnesota, I must have lost this umbrella, well, twice. That aside, I never would have bought the Lumbrella again if it wasn’t the best at its price point. This umbrella is a haven from a rainstorm. I live in Chicago, the Windy City. They call Chicago the Windy City because of the hot air out of the politicians, but anyone that lives here knows, it’s as breezy as can be! Other umbrellas fold (literally) under the wind here. Not the Lumbrella. Not to say you don’t need a steady hand, you do, but I’m not constantly searching for ways to try to get this umbrella into the right position to protect me from the elements (sleet, freezing rain, we get it all). There are a lot of options out there, for the price point, the Lumbrella stacks up. Ask someone who’s bought it three times!

In terms of quality, after only about a month, the strap of the umbrella broke. Maybe I got a defective umbrella, but customer service was great and I got a replacement. I have yet to see if the quality of the replacement umbrella will hold up so fingers crossed. Other than the strap issue, the umbrella seems sturdy, but I haven't tried the windproof part. I prefer manually closing my umbrella as opposed to using a button to close it and don't know why it's preferred. It shoots water everywhere when you press the button to close the umbrella (so you get extra wet in the process if you're not careful) and because of all the mechanics involved, it takes more force to have to push the umbrella down to its original position.

This is a great umbrella. I ordered one for my daughter and she loves it so much I ordered one for myself and my son. One of the best features is it has auto open and auto close. It is lightweight and sturdy. The best feature is it has a lifetime warranty!

Overall, this is a nice collapsible umbrella. Two things I would recommend. Make the overall length a little shorter. Have an auto closing feature so that the umbrella could be easily operated with 1 hand for both opening and closing.
