Update** I have had these chandeliers for over a year now and they are still working great! What a great deal! This chandelier looks much more expensive than it actually was. I spray painted the candle sticks in a brass color. I love how it turned out. Take note that this chandelier is not complete black.. it has white specks all over the black. It looks great but if you need complete black this chandelier may not work. I saved a lot on my lighting by buying these instead of other similar chandeliers that were so much more. LOVE this light! It is so beautiful, I love the simple, clean design and it looks much more expensive than the price. There were only two small negatives and we just made a couple adjustments to make it perfect for us. I wasn’t a fan of the dark brown speckly finish. All our hardware is matte black, so we sprayed it matte black to match and it looks fantastic. The only other thing i found odd is the bulbs sit up pretty high when screwed in, making the silver base visible, which stands out and is a bit distracting. I wish it was constructed so the bulbs would sit lower to have the silver base be covered. Our fix was to wrap black electrical tape around the silver part of the base that was visible, and now it blends right in. Some might not care, but I’m weird about things like that. This is no crate and barrel quality, but it’s good for the price you pay. Looks good! Pretty solid material. One of the arms was a little bit crooked, but easy to fix since the metal is not super strong 😜 but honestly, who’s gonna touch it near the ceiling? And I have three wild kids so it’s definitely fine! Color threw me off a bit at first. Its like a dark black/brown with whitish speckles. Didn’t expect that at all, but once it was hanging up, you can’t notice it. So anyway, for the price, it’s a good find! ... show more

This light is beautiful. I am so impressed and so amazed by the quality of this light for the price. It is very large and substantial looking, but it is not heavy. The material is lightweight and sturdy. Like others have mentioned, it has kind of a brownish black hue with white sparkling that you can only notice if you were up close and if it is hanging lower. Mine does hang low so people will notice, but I actually really like that and I like the way it blends with the other fixtures in my home. This light is beautiful. This light is gorgeous! Based on some reviews I was expecting lower quality. I’m glad to say I was pleasantly surprised. Like anything, it’s not perfect but we’ll worth the savings compared to buying a similar item from Anthroplogy. First off, the assembly is pretty straight forward but not easy. When tightening the arms in place, it gets tricky towards the end because you’d have to maneuver around the other ones. Also, they’re not tight enough to NEVER move. Meaning they’ll stay in place but they’re easy to loosen and unscrew. Unless you plan to touch it often it shouldn’t be a problem. My only other concern was the paint came with some white speckles. I think it adds to vintage charm and its barely noticeable. Keep it in mind if you’re wanting a matte black fixture. Other than that, it gives enough light and adds character to any space. ... show more

I was able to assemble and install this chandelier without any previous experience doing so. It took me about 2.5 hours altogether. I’m very pleased with the look and quality of the chandelier. It’s a nice transitional piece. Our home has some modern, rustic and traditional elements and this blends perfectly with many styles. I was able to find lightbulbs on amazon and we have it on a dimmer switch and it’s fantastic. It puts out quite a bright light when full power. Our dining room is 8x12 and I prefer to keep it dimmed a bit since it’s such a bright light. Exactly what I hoped for and would highly recommend! ... show more

Light looks beautiful, and I’ve received many compliments on it. The reason for taking off a star was that the assembly of it was definitely more than anticipated. It arrived in a box so small that I was sure it couldn’t be the light fixture I’d ordered. Even my electrician laughed as he watched me struggle putting it together for over an hour and said he was glad it was him and not me doing it. Extremely happy with this light fixture. It is lightweight, so installing it is easier than other heavier fixtures. (The one we replaced weighed at least 50 pounds.) Takes just a little bit of time to get the arms adjusted perfectly, but it isn't difficult. There are some area's that I may need to touch up with some darkish/oil rubbed bronze/black paint -- but even as is, it doesn't bother me. Also, based on another reviewer's comments, we did use round bulbs and we really love the slightly modern look that brings to the fixture. (The bulbs it uses are the small base - not a standard lightbulb base, fyi) The light it emits is soooo pretty. We definitely recommend. ... show more
