    • Like a gerber but for your dogs and cats.
My fiancee and I have dogs and cats and they aren't too fond of this tool but it gets the job done. The multiple tools work and is sturdy but it could be a bit thinner. The clipper themselves make a hard spring sound which startles our pets a on the first few snips. The filer and comb/brush work fine. It looks beautiful but could be better. Not a bad price however. So, I never cut any animal's nails before. I am a forst time dog parent, and for the first couple months I was taking her to be groomed so I didn't deal with all that mess. But now she's doing the heartworm treatment so I have to make sure I keep her heart beat to normal levels. So. To avoid the stress of a car ride, plus strangers touching her, I decoded to bathe and trim her nails myself. And it was a success! After watching some videos to find out how much to cut, I think I did a pretty good job for the first time. No blood was shed either! I am one of those stubborn people who don't like to look at instructions from the start, but I gave up when I just didn't figure out why the scissors wouldn't move lol who knew they came with a safety thing?! Hahahha so yes, the little instructions booklet that came with it is helpful, don't throw away. I have small hands and fingers so I was worried it would be hard to handle the clippers (especially because they are quite heavy) but that was not the case. I didn't need that much strength to cut either. I am impressed. Imagine a Swiss Army Knife but for dogs hahhaha The nail file works well too, and my dog wasn't scared of any of the tools this nail clipper came with. ... show more

    • Great mulit-tool for service dog handlers
Got this just to have on me at all times due to having my service dog. I know it's important to maintain the nails. There have been a few times where we have been out and about, and I didn't realize how long his nails were until I heard them when we were walking in the store. So being able to trim them on the fly is awesome. This tool also includes a wide tooth comb, deshedding comb, and a nail file. The deshedding comb does come in handy as well. I haven't tried the wide tooth comb as of yet. All in all, great product. The only thing about this tool is it did take about two months to get. I needed a nail cutter for my dog & got this because I like the design on the handle & that scissors, comb, & file are all in one place. The scissors cut great. I like the scissor guard that keeps me from cutting off too much. My Mini-Schnauzer struggles when we try to comb her or cut her nails, so the guard is very helpful. The bigger comb has square teeth, fatter teeth, & wider spaced teeth than those on the comb I've been using. I tried it once on my dog's beard & am undecided if I like it or not. She doesn't have much hair to use it on so it might be better suited for a bigger dog or a dog with thicker hair. My dog doesn't have a need for the fine-tooth comb. There's a coarse & a fine file. I haven't used these yet since the scissors cut smoothly & cleanly. This item is well made. It is bigger & heavier than I expected. ... show more

    • A little expensive, but good for what they do
Trimming my dogs' nails with these were a breeze. They're perfectly sized for small to medium dogs - do not work on your pitbulls or German Shepherds with these. Their nails simply won't fit. Also feels like it was engineered well, and the safety well behind the clipper makes sure you never overdo the cutting and potentially injure your furry friends. Loved that it came with a file and that it folded up after use. Makes it all the more compact, and easier to store away when done. I'm sold and won't be returning this! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. The quality of this is great but I do have some concerns. First if you have small hands you might have a hard time getting a good grip. It is on the heavier side for a tool like this. My dogs didn't like it too much, but that may have been because I couldn't get a good grip on it and I couldn't go as fast as I usually do. The combs were sub par. Might be great for a short haired dog but for my lab.... not so much. ... show more
