I bought this for my husky. He is wet all the time in the summer which makes him get a stale water smell. Huskies shouldn't be bathed all the time so I was looking for a different method of getting him to smell better when we went out. This product does work. It did eliminate most of the smell even with a few squirts over his body and then bushing it in. The affect doesnt last long but a little respray and it's no big deal. I do understand that it isnt a complete miracle in a bottle but it does help. I cant say it made his fur softer or any thing like that. He already has a really soft plush coat. I didnt get a call asking for a review. If I did I would of given the worst review possible. Mentioning every little thing I think is wrong with it. But in all honesty this isnt a bad product if you have realistic expectations. If you want some thing to completely cover the scent of your pet use your own perfume or cologne and risk its safety.. or actually bathe your pet. This wont work the way you want. But it does freshen nicely and works enough that I will rebuy when my bottle is empty. I havent seen any adverse side effects like itchy skin or any thing but I also dont spray enough to reach his skin. Most essential oil users know that they can cause a bad reaction when applied to the skin. With that knowledge I wont apply it in areas where it will easily reach his skin. So a little common sense needs to be used while using this product. In all kota and I are happy customers.

my mini Schnoodle has a natural funky stink to him ; I can't bathe him often enough to battle his odor because Schnauzers have sensitive dry skin. I just bought this product this past week and was hoping the scent would be tolerable & not overwhelming...... I am so pleasantly surprised because to be honest I had little faith that it would fit the bill. I sprayed it directly on to my dog's brush, let him sniff it *then brushed on to his coat......and I swear he enjoyed it. Normally if I try to apply anything or wipe him down , he puts up a huge struggle. He sniffed this with curiosity and accepted it. That has literally NEVER happened before with anything I've tried, from store bought to homemade things. Technically I don't know how it works but it seems to me that it neutralizes the bad odor ( not that it's masking it with another fragrance ) But at the same time, adds a light fresh scent ; it's very LIGHT which is a great plus IMO. And it really appears to have a calming , happy effect on him. And to top it off , it also adds softness & shine to his coat which was already soft but now more so. I never thought I'd rave about such a product but when you live and sleep with a dog 24/7/365, it's kind of a big deal. :-)

It doesn't make him sneeze. The smell isn't the best, but it doesn't smell bad, either, just not as calming as advertised. But that is a personal thing. What's important is, it does the job and doesn't irritate my dog's sensitive nose.

I bought this item as a cologne/fresh smell spray for my new Havanese puppy. My 7 year old indoor Persian cat decided he was too stressed to coexist with "the intruder" and about three weeks after the puppy arrived, the cat just stopped eating on a Friday. We took him to the vet on Monday and after a series of workup (multiple day exams, blood test, X-Ray) he was given anti depressant, cerenia, and antibiotic on the following Friday, fully 7 days after he had stopped eating and scheduled him for a very costly ultrasound the following Tuesday. We didn't feed him the cerenia which was prescribed off-label. It clearly says in the manufacturer's web site that cerenia is oral for dogs only. For cats it should be injected and it burn for several hours. We didn't want to stress the cat any more than he already was. I was looking at the lable of this spray product and decided it might be effective in soothing the stress cat. I applied it on his back (two pumps) while gently brushing him. He started eating a few hours later. I've been spraying him with this product about every other day now and he is totally playing with the rambunctious puppy and tolerating him. Love this product for my cat and will absolutely buy again before I run out. $500 for vet services and with another $750 ultrasound scheduled for the Tuesday, fully 12 days after cat stopped eating, or a sub-$15 soothing and calming spray with near immediate effect? The choice is clear. Vet even had the right guess initially when she prescribed anti depressants. This spray saved my cat's life and prevented additional out of pocket expenses for me.
