Love these! Great low-waisted fit. I work with animals and need the cargo pockets for treats/tools/etc. The rip-stop fabric is practical in case of an accidental bite. These pants look crisp and professional. Fabric is not as lightweight as I would have ideally liked for summer but probably as light as ripstop fabric can be. Wore them in 85F degree weather and was fine. Also, it's so unusual to find anything in a size 0 that's actually true to size and not a vanity size. In most other brands I'm a size 0 or 00, in these the size 0 in these was actually a tad too tight (need a little room to move). So I sized up to a size 2, which was better anyway because it comes in Long. The Regular was too short. For reference, I am 5.7ft and 110 pounds, athletic built with straight hips. These may not work if you are more curvy, in that case check out their mid-rise style (I ordered those as well and they had a narrower waist with more room in the hip area). Beware: there's a sizing difference between colors. The grey ones are smaller than the sand ones. I actually think the grey ones fit even better in the size 2 - long. I was sort of in between sizes in the sand colored ones. Needed a light color for summer so kept both. They did shrink a tiny bit after washing. First couple of pics are size 2 - long. The couple of pics are size 0 - regular.

I had to order three different sizes to find the one that fits me best. I kept the size 4 short because it’s not as bulky on the back. I like the way they fit and look. The fabric is thick and looks to be durable. I highly recommend it.

PROS: - Nice flat pockets, but roomy enough on the side for a cell phone, knife, tools, etc - Lightweight - Flattering look - The least wide-leg work pant I've found in the past 8 years! - Pet hair doesn't stick. This is huge for anyone that has cats or dogs or if you work with animals. - Rip-stop material holds up - After 9 months, no sign of fading yet - Little-to-no shrinkage - Available in short length, which is approx 30" inseam on larger sizes (size 16-18). Size 20 short seems like it has a 31" inseam My coworker said shirt length is shorter on size 2. She likes a long inseam & went with regular length despite being under 5'. - Velcro close pockets on the side, but not on the bum (thank goodness!) - Low-rise sits a bit higher than other brands & styles CONS: - Velcro (Read below to see why this is a con to me) - Low-rise (great when you're thin) ................ Thankfully the only Velcro is on the flap for the side/thigh pockets. I'm not a fan as my cell doesn't fit fully in the side pocket so one portion ends up being tucked behind it (which works just fine) - but the piece of the Velcro that the flap would otherwise cover ends up grabbing at the material from my top when I'm wearing a uniform dress sweater. When I wear button-ups, the Velcro is NOT an issue and not even noticed. TBH, I'm thrilled that there's no Velcro on the back pockets (something I've run into on other work pants)! I found these pants to run true to size IMO. The 1st pair I bought was a size larger based on reviews I'd read. While I initially thought they fit fine & I do still wear them, I find they're bunched up in front because I have to belt them to stay up. It's not bad if you're shirt covers that part, but by going up a size, I ended up with longer pants which isn't helpful to me. After buying several pair in my actual size instead of sizing up, I have come to realize that what I initially thought was ok, really doesn't feel or look as good as the pants that are all my usual size. Do what's right for you :-) These pants are holding up beautifully. I have 4 pair in 3 colors despite my uniform only being olive drab green (ranger colors). I had the charcoal grey & wear those with my grey dress sweater for meetings. I bought a black pair to wear on vacation to Southern Florida in Dec & was absolutely thrilled with them. If I was still thin, I'd have bought the tan/caramel color. Being at my heaviest weight ever, I wasn't sure if the light color would be flattering & I didn't have time to chance the need to exchange them. The black pants were perfect for vacation. I wore them for travel, sightseeing & out to dinner. They're much lighter and cooler than denim plus look so much nicer. I'm 5'3", with a longer torso. I would love if these pants were a little shorter to start so I could wear them with very flat shoes. Since they're a teeny bit long, I wear them to work with safety toe shoes that keep them just off the ground. For vacation I wore a sandal with a 2½"heel. I love that these pants are not near as bulky or baggy as so many other tactical or work pants are. I've been through many brands and even tried men's Carhartt pants through a work contract. While I bought all these LA Gear pants on my own instead of through work, these are by far the most flattering work pants I've had in over 10 years. Now with that being said, these pants ARE low rise. If you've had other low-rise tactical pants, these may sit a bit higher than some, but lower than others. They're nowhere near midrise when compared to jeans & whatnot. I do wear a belt to help keep these in place, but at 170+ pounds and being over 45 y/o, I would not be thrilled having to tuck a shirt in, especially if it's clingy. I'm able to tuck in a cami or performance wear T-shirt under a polo or button up that I don't tuck in. I know not everyone can get away with that for work. Since I'm one of 2 females surrounded by a bunch of younger men at work, I wouldn't be comfortable with my pants gapping at the back when bending or squatting. If you're wearing a dark color shirt or it's long enough to tuck in loosely (w/o clinginess) you can get away with tucking it in & maybe not looking like you have a major muffin top. I don't need a high-waist, but would like these a tad higher since many of us use these for work and stretch, squat & bend frequently. The fabric of these pants does have a little bit of stretch to them throughout. That's great for movement, but without a belt they may feel like they're falling down a bit as your day goes on, even when they're the perfect size. With a belt, I don't notice an issue like that, but without a belt, both my size 2 coworker & I have had that issue. Overall, she & I love these pants. They're holding up beautifully. IDK about the lighter colors, but the dark green, dark grey & black haven't shown any stains yet. IDK if they're stain resistant or if I've just been lucky. I do believe they repel liquid though which would help prevent staining. Unlike a few other major brands of tactical pants, these pants are not so baggy that I have to hear swishing sounds as I walk. Nope, none of that. These are actually flattering! I never thought I'd find pants I wear as part of my uniform that I also like enough to wear in my personal life. While no pant is perfect and none will fit every body the same, these have been great. If you're on the fence, give them a try.

The worst pants. I’ve tried to make them work because I had bought one of their other styles before and liked it. These are terrible. The sizing is not correct and even when you buy the correct size, they shrink after one wash. I’m unable to wear them at all now and I’ve spent hundreds on these pants. Now I have all these pants that I can’t wear. It’s ridiculous. I’m done purchasing them. I’d return them all if I didn’t miss my window for it. I really just want my money back. Please do not buy these and if you do, you might as well order 5 sizes up.

I really want to love these pants. I'm a Red Cross/ARES volunteer. I bought these for public service events and camping. They seem well made. I like the material, although it's a bit stiff (washing doesn't help). I LOVE all the pockets. However, these pants are not made for women with hips and butts. There's not much stretch, just a touch. The rise should be MUCH higher, especially in the back. The waistband *literally* touched the seat when I sat in these. There just wasn't enough material to cover a female bottom. Luckily, I was wearing a tunic top over them, so my butt didn't show. Make sure your top is long enough if you plan to sit, squat or bend in these or you'll be giving a free show to anyone around you. Second, the waistband gaps at the back, a lot. I'm older and a bit thick-waisted these days. If you have a flatter stomach and smaller waist, you're going to have a HUGE gap there. Third, there's only a 4 inch difference in the width at the widest point versus at the waistband (which, again, sits WAY too low). There should be more of a curve between the hips and waist. With my thicker waist, there's still an 8 inch difference between my waist and hips. I'm sure that difference would be even larger for a lot of women. So, if you're curvy like me, these are not the pants for you. I ordered size 18. I'm currently 5'8" and 215 lbs, and these were snug. If the rise was about 4" higher, I would order a size 20 for better comfort until I can lose some more weight. Once I do that, I guess I'll be wearing these with tunic tops permanently since I can't return them after washing them.

I really liked these pants. I originally bought them from La Police gear following their chart along with talking to someone. It took forever to get here and they ended up being way to tight. I’m not a big person, but my sizes go from size 4-8. I bought these mainly for hiking because my boyfriend suggested they’d be more comfortable then jeans. I’m new to pretty much any outdoors stuff, just getting into it more because my boyfriend introduced to me. (Loving it) also am getting more into going to the shooting range since he’s an ex-cop and his son is going into the armed forces so he wanted me to try it out for safety reasons and see if I’d like it. Now, it’s a regular thing we both enjoy doing together and these pants I find work awesome for that as well. They’re not to tight, a little big around the waist, but a belt helped with that easily enough. I would highly recommend these pants. I tried on so many before and because of my body shape nothing fit right, but these definitely do the job and I’ll be ordering another pair in the future.😊

Ladies. When will they make pants to fit a female body? I have multiple pairs of 5.11’s and wear either a 4L or 6L in them. Reading the reviews, I decided to try a 6L and 8L in these. Tried on the 8L’s and they fit crazy. Big in the waist with the huge gap in the back like other review photos, but extremely tight in the butt and the quads. I ordered 10L next, really wanting them to work. Identical problem! These pants are not built for me and I’m returning them all and paying the extra $30 for more 5.11’s. Rough measurements: 5’6, 155lbs, athletic build, waist 29-30”, hips 41-42”
