  • The Definitive Classic Fender Flat Wound Tone
Size: 43/104
The definitive classic Fender flatwound tone. Flats, especially Labella, tend to be much higher string tension than rounds, however the 760FL's are much closer in tension to the rounds you may be used to. They are glassy smooth and have a deep, full thick tone. Keep in mind flats can sound a bit off, uneven and a little bright right out of the package, and they can take a while to fully break in, even out and warm up. So don't be quick to judge, give it a month or two....but once they reach their final broken in state, they can stay that way for years. The broken in tone has somewhat scooped upper mids, subdued highs and real thick full low/low-mids...perfect balance for an overly bright or mid-rangey P bass. • Authentic Motown Sound
Size: 43/104
I play bass for the Motown group The Miracles so I’m not looking for something that sounds about right - I need just right and these strings get it done. I love the natural scooped mid sound and the deep full lows. I have a vintage P I play with an A style neck so it won’t handle the heavy guage but these strings fit my axe perfectly and I get tons of compliments on my authentic Jamerson sound! ... show more

  • Easy Flats Great Sound & Easy to Try Out on PBass
Size: 43/104
I love these on my Fender Vintera 50's P Bass. I decided I would keep one bass flats on it. I took off a set of medium-light GHS Pro Steel rounds, which I also love, and just strung these up. I didn't touch the truss rod, and been playing them just fine. Relief looked about like it was before. I really should measure it later. I've played them about 3 hours now, and don't find them stiff at all. I'm already happy with the mellow tone I'm getting. The instructions tell you not to wrap any of the outer part of the string onto the tuning peg. On my E string there is just a tiny bit of the outer string against the peg. It is not enough to make even one degree of wrap, just constrained against the peg. I think if I had put a small washer about 1/16" thick under the ball end of that E string there would only be silk-wrapped inner string on the peg. ... show more

  • Amazing Sound!!
Size: 43/104
Replaced Fender rounds on my Geddy Lee USA Jazz bass with 760FL Flat Set 43/104. Can't believe how good they sound compared to the original strings that were on the guitar! I bought these to put on the American Standard P Bass but was surprised to see on the package it said that these are not suitable for bridges where the string pass through the body of the bass. Now I need to figure out what set to get for the P Bass. ... show more

  • Great strings
Size: 43/104
These are great strings. They have a certain tone I have been wanting for some time. I wish the gauge was a little smaller, like maybe .100 for the "E" string.

  • New flat wound convert
Size: 43/104
Been a round wound guy for a long time. I’ve had issues with flats being too stiff and not liking the tension. These strings are just the right tension for me and they sound AMAZING. A little more $ than the others but very much worth!!!
