I was looking for brackets that would accomidate some large shelves. These were not the most inexpensive but they did come with mounting hardware for bracket to wall and shelf to bracket. Box and packaging very neat. Brackets are solid and do appear very sturdy. Brackets are not shiny as depicted in the picture. They are more of a matte finish. What I did not care for was the thin side edges of the brackets were not clean looking or smooth. Some had a rougher look and not a clean soft looking edge. Its as if they were not completely sanded down enough. Also the recessed holes are very large relative to the screws heads that are provided. The screw head does not sit flush with the bracket hole its recessed into the bracket morso. Its almost as the screws, screw head provided is too small for the brackets. Its nice that thew did come with mounting hardware it just wasn't exactly what I was looking for. ... show more

    • These are good looking but pliable.
These brackets look great and are indeed easy to install. However, I believe using the words “heavy duty” may be a bit strong of a descriptor. They easily bend and I would not recommend them for more than additional support in a shelving system. For example, I used them in my pantry where I recently added wood shelving. The shelving, which is 16” wide 1” thick plywood (painted), was not able to be held up by these brackets alone. I ended up using inch thick strips of poplar along three edges (cut out for brackets). These do seem to provide substantial support keeping the plywood from bowing in the middle. ... show more

    • Was expecting thicker material
These brackets work, however they are not .25” thick as advertised...a little disappointing since I chose these because of that point over the countless other “5mm thick” options. You wouldn’t think 1mm of thickness would make that much difference is sturdiness/flex of the bracket, but it does.

These brackets are fine, but are only .185” thick! I ordered the thick ones on purpose. These aren’t even a full 5mm thick. Unless I can confirm the wrong parts were delivered, these are totally misrepresented.

Bought these to hold shelving I made for my office. The quality of the brackets in relation to their cost is excellent. I used sleeve anchors to install them and as a result needed to open up the holes. The material is likely mild steel and a step bit made easy work of the job.
