My eyes and surrounding skin are sensitive, oily, and leaky (thanks to forever seasonal allergies), so it's really hard to find a product that works and doesn't lead to smudgy "football player" eyes 5 minutes after I leave the house. I've paid a fortune for department store eyeliners that work well but break the bank. Here's my process: I start with a good primer on clean skin (The "Thank me Later" primer works well on a budget), apply eye shadow, apply the liner, and then "set" it with some translucent powder before finishing with mascara. It really works and holds all day with minimal touch ups (because sometimes life happens--it's super humid, went for a run, etc). I apply this eyeliner about 1:30p before my 10 hour shift & it lasts until I wash my face before bed at about 2a. After using other eyeliners I am happy to have found L’Oreal Infallible. It applies easily & smoothly, has a tip on the end to use for smudging (smoky eye look), & along with a little mascara is all the eye makeup I need to have my eyes look great over the mask I have to wear at work. ... show more

These are my favorite eye liners. I have used them for several years now. I use #581 and it is very difficult to find in the stores in my area.

The only complaint I have is that the pencil breaks off easily if you are not careful. You can only have a bare minimum workable extension of the pencile. Not much past the opening. Have been using this pencil for several yrs. It’s smudge proof, water proof and does not come off
