It's a nice straightener that performs well, but has some drawbacks. 1) It's heavy. 2) It pinches my skin when I close it sometimes, if I hold it from the side with the on/off/heat button. If you're having trouble turning it off, you need to twist the heat dial both directions. Then you can hold the button down to turn it off without unplugging it. ... show more

While I love the smoothness of the flat ron, I HATE THE ON OFF CONTROL!!!! For 100.00, they could have come up with a better solution. You have to "press and hold" the button that has the "off" lit up. Hold it for 5 to 6 seconds. This is just not working properly. I am not sure if I have one that is malfunctioning? Maybe? But, to turn this thing on, it is a nightmare. It takes as much as 5 minutes to just get it to work. Once I can get it to turn on, the plates, the adjustment of the heat control works fine. I just not sure if this "dial" the heat and a touch press to turn on is going to last. The plates smooth, Turning this thing on is absolutely absurd. For that reason I gave it a 3. almost a 2. I am going to write to the manufacturer and see if this can be corrected. UPDATE: Have not received any response. I am going to buy a new one, NOT THIS BRAND.
