Mix of several shades both matte and shimmer.
I belong to a couple of beauty box subscription services and have tons of eye shadows but it seems none are in the green or blue range. I have brown eyes and green flatters my eyes for whatever reason. I wanted a green palette but didn't want to spend much considering I don't use bright eye shadow all that often and have so many pricey palettes as it is. I saw this and liked that it had green and blue as well as purple shades. I have about 100 shades of browns and nudes but few of the shades in this compact. It is a bit smaller than I expected and the strips of shadows are quite small but I don't need much. The pigment is good. Not great but enough so that it is visible on my lids with just one layer. There are some mattes but more sparkly shades. I am not the biggest fan of shimmer but it actually looks nice if applied sparingly. I like that I can mix the shades to make a unique one and that there are so many different shadows in one palette. There is no mirror which I rarely use but kind of miss and the applicator is junk so it's best to toss it and use your own brush for good results. Once it is on, the shadow stays put especially with a primer underneath. The quality isn't the best but it works fine for me. The price was super low so I got more than I paid for.

Too dark
I was hoping for some green color that wasn't overwhelming. These colors are vibrant and dark. If that's what you're looking for they'd be perfect. The color is difficult to remove, so I guess "longevity" would be 5 stars if that's what you want. I applied it on one day and then the next day just used the sponge to apply it without dipping into the pallet again. It was still plenty colorful. I'd just like to find some green eyeshadow that doesn't look like something a lady of the night would wear.

Great value eyeshadow palette for everyday looks
I was impressed with the quality of this L.A. COLORS 18 Color Eyeshadow Palette. It has a variety of matte and shimmer shades that are perfect for creating everyday looks. The eyeshadow is also very affordable, at only $3.50. I've found that the eyeshadow goes on smoothly and blends well, and it lasts throughout the day. However, some users have mentioned that the eyeshadow can be a bit dusty. Overall, I think this is a great value eyeshadow palette and would recommend it to anyone looking for an affordable option for everyday makeup.

Purchased to make beautiful nails!
I’ve been using loose chrome powder and loose pigment powder on my nails for a while now, and I was shopping for MORE nail powders to play with when I came across some solid pigment powder. The cases looked just like eye shadow! I thought, hmmmm, I wonder what would happen if I used ACTUAL eye shadow… So I found a color palette I thought would make for nice nails that was also relatively inexpensive so if my experiment failed, I wasn’t out much money. But my experiment was a complete success! Check out my practice sticks! I painted the nail sticks with a base coat as well as two layers of white polish before I began applying the eye shadow. Some colors only required two eye shadow coats while others really required three. I used q-tips to apply and blend in the shadow. I typically use sponges or eye shadow applicators but I didn't want to pollute the good stuff if this didn't work. But it did! I’m so pleased.

Don't waste your time.
Color: Strange Love
I've been using LA Colors "Strange Love" eye shadow for years. It's the purple set with some plum colors. The first time I bought it, I was in love. I emptied a quarter of the colors and made a good dent in most of the rest. When I bought the replacement, I still had the original and could tell the colors were changed slightly but it was still doable. I didn't use as many of the shades but it's cheap enough to just replace when my favorites were gone. I just ordered another replacement and all the colors are trash. The shades still look like they are represented but there is zero pigmentation. And I do mean zero. I keep layering them on and nothing shows for it. I ended up tossing it. I hope this isn't a reflection of their entire line of shadows. I have another set (different formation - 4pack) that I've just re-ordered..third one for it it too. If it's the same, I'll have to move back to the more expensive but more reliable brands that I was using in the past.
