So Ive been using some UE Triple-fi’s for a while and was tired of the fitment issues. Sound quality was decent but nothing mindblowing. Needed something for everyday listening but with call capability and unwired BT so I went for Bose Sound sports for a while. They worked but sound was just not impressive at all, although their BT was nice and stable the moment they broke I started to explore KZ products. Let me start by saying these 16 driver Zax are gorgeous sounding. Love that it shows me everything about a mix, nice and clear. I spotify a lot for music listening so I bring the highs a hair down and bass a hair up and I get that fantastic V shape feel. I also purchased KZ ZS10 and they sounded nice and balanced but the ZAX definitely bested them overall. Highly recommend a try. I paired these ZAX metals with their AZ09 BT set and its a match that works fantastic after trying the BT3S and KZ HD as well. ... show more

So with these you gotta allow a burn in time on these. They sound hollow out of the box. Plus this allows you to play around with eartips. Then they just open up like crazy and sound almost like a completely different IEM. Dynamic and almost I would say fatiguing after a while. They'll really pound you with sound you don't expect coming from something this small or headphones period. They arrive in a nice box. You'll probably want to keep it. The nicest KZ package so far. The grill design is really nice looking. People will want to see them. You may want to change the cable because these are too nice for that thin cable provided. They look like a little muscle car. Design is great. Sound: these have a V shaped sound. It's fun. It has deep mid bass. That does not make mids sound recessed. It rather compliments the mids to give it a richer, fuller sound. Maybe too full for some. It can be fatiguing because it brings the energy. It has good imaging and pretty good soundstage. The treble is not sibilant at least to me. There is no S and T problems on tracks unless that track has that problem in the recording. You may get a hint of slight S siblance in some songs. It gets very loud. So beware for your ears at high volumes. This responds to EQ extremely well. It scales really well to more power of a amp or DAC. Again... Maybe too well so beware at high volumes. As you've probably already read from other reviews, the headphones sound great! My most frequently used iems are the KZ-ZS10 since they get along with my music catalog quite nicely. To me, these are definitely an upgrade to that set where the signsture is similar but the sound is much more detailed. The only drawbacks with my det are not sound related, but product/QA related. First thing is, at this price, a set of memory foam buds is a must. They're not expensive but it's a pain to have to get these separately when many other cheaper iems toss them in for free. The second thing is that mine came with some glue residue I had to scrape off of one of the earpieces, a bit annoying. None of these are major issues, but I would much rather not have to deal with these things than to have a 'fancy' box with an engraved metal plate (which is what they come in) which provides no actual value to the user. That said, sound is great and I'd still recommend these to anyone! ... show more

These are the most amazing pair of in ears I’ve ever used. They are so clear and pure sounding. I would never buy from any other company now. The only thing I would change would be the chord. Nothing wrong with it. I would just prefer a more standard rubber chord or maybe even a little longer as I’m a drummer. ... show more
