The book cover is black and has the texture of a hardcover book. I keep mine in a box of books on the top shelf. The storage box feels sturdy and well-made. I feel it provides the kind of security that would pair equally with a 3-digit combination. The outer cover does not feel the most durable. The cover is cardboard, and feels like a hardcover book. The 'pages' are molded, hard plastic. Up close, very obvious. The plastic feels weak. I wouldn't drop it. Overall, awesome value for the price. As described and the lock works just fine the pages don’t look real but it’s pretty discreet when placed the right way and it makes for nice decoration on my shelf. The box is a bout as deep as my pinky and holds quite a bit depending on what you’re putting in it. I only wish there were a few cover pages on the inside ... show more
