These are very well made. Solid and not light weight at all. They seem very accurate when tested against gauge blocks. However, when using them in inch/fraction mode they seem to default to very small increments. I was trying to measure something I know is 1-11/16” wide, and I got lots of nonsense readings. These readings are probably accurate, but on too fine of a scale. When testing against a ruler I could only get 1-11/16 when using the inside jaws. I suppose if I were doing very precise machining I’d need that resolution. But I’m doing woodworking, guitar making specifically, so it’s kind of annoying.

In the interest of full disclosure, as a trusted and unbiased Amazon reviewer, I was able to request this product free of charge. Seems to be a well made caliper, but there is one problem. First the good features. The display is larger than most in its class, the buttons look better and have a better feel than most. The cover for the battery is metal and is held on with 2 small screws. While this makes it a bit more difficult to change the batteries, it is so much more durable than those cheap plastic holders. The jaws are nicely machined and accuracy seems good as far as I can tell. It is quite a bit heavier than others in its class. I think the display head is just a lot thicker and has more metal than others. mm, inch and fractional display is a nice feature, although that is pretty standard now. The caliper comes in a nice plastic case that closes cleanly and includes a small screwdriver for opening the battery compartment and two extra batteries. There is one serious issue. That is with the thumb screw. When you open the jaws it works fine. When you close the jaws the thumb screw rubs against the display head. Because the thumb screw is knurled you get that ratcheting effect and this makes it very difficult to close in small increments.

If your not building rockets then this is all you need. Stainless, came with batteries installed and two spares, small screw driver to install battery as needed. Zero out button is nice. Simple and functional for O.D and I.D MMam and Inches Works good and has a plastic case to keep it from getting smashed.
