I was looking for something not to break the bank, but let me see if I would like a vest as I have always used one kind of pack or another, figured I would get this before I spent the big $$ on a Simms or fishpond. And all I can say is WOW, I will not be getting a fishpond or simms, why spend they money on a fishpond when this vest is almost the samething, I know because I went by the local sporting good store on my way out to give this a test. This vest is awesome, plenty of storage space, light weight, adjustable and comfortable. I am so happy with this vest I'm beside myself. It looks to be built well and the price makes it a steal. If you think I'm joking pull them up side by side and compare, then look at the price difference. This is a know brainers. After having it out on the water a couple times still feel the same way as this is a great vest so much so I have looked at there other products. Don't know if there quality will be the same but as good as this vest is figured it was worth checking out.

Very nicely made vest. Lots of zippered pockets with zipper pulls. Plenty of adjustment for help fit around various bulges. Lightweight with plenty of mesh to help keep me cool. Handles all my various bits of tackle with lots of space to (god forbid) add more stuff.

Product showed up with one of the pull tabs disconnected and overall construction doesnt look like it'll last more than a few seasons because it seems pretty lightweight. Having said that, I still think this is a great full-featured vest/backpack size combo with so many pockets for the price that Im using for those long hikes into Colorado backcountry where you always have to pack/shed extra layers, usually carry lunch/snacks/bevy's for a full day slay sesh. Pretty decent value when you compare this to Fishpond, Simms, Orvis etc. gear. Also, big ups to the customer service team for helping me out with my initial problems.

I am a metal detectorist, a friend had a similar vest with a backpack to carry a second detector and other items. I bought this one for the amount of storage pockets and the expandable pack. After using it quite a bit in the field, I got a seam cutter and removed the two front fly storage pockets, they got in the way swinging the detector. They aren't big enough for my finds boxes but the next set beneath them are. I'm able to carry water bottles, a second lighter machine, extra clothing items, and much more without feeling the weight at all. Honestly this is a perfect vest after a slight modification. They thought of everything, including the ability to tie back the straps after adjusting them, and the brilliant tethers that allow me to carry cleaning brushes and not lose them. I know this is intended to be a fly fishing vest, but it serves other hobbies as well!

I went out for river bank fishing with this vest for the first time. It was a great experience with this vest and along with the small tackle storage bag I bought from the same brand. I used to carry a large bag with me walking along the river fishing. And now this vest and a small bag totally work for me. I can have my entire tackle box fit into this fishing vest, and I don't need to go back and forth to get a lure or a jig or anything. The pockets are well designed to keep things organized. The mesh backing, the adjustable straps are all well designed, and make it very comfortable. The quality is very solid. Overall a great value!

I own a very expensive fishing pack and love all the features on it. I was looking for one for my son but didn't want to pay nearly $200 for the one I own. I must say I am impressed with the design of this Kyle Booker vest. LOTS OF STORAGE. As seen in the pictures the 2 large pockets are big enough to hold a large double-sided fly box. All other pockets will accept small and medium sized boxes. Zippers all worked perfectly out of the box. Love the inside pockets for leader and indicator storage and the extra compartment on the back to throw in some snacks and a water bottle. Only change I would make is I am not a fan of all the orange paracord or the fact the main zipper is "backwards"... like on female jackets. But... Honestly... Not a deal breaker! If this holds up for a few years I will be buying more! If you're looking for a nice pack without the big price tag... I would recommend you trying out Kyle Booker!
