After researching about KVM's and scouring through a lot of reviews I was led to believe that there is no good KVM's in the market no matter what the price range is . Anyways I decided to give this one a try. I was able to get a laptop and a desktop connected to it within minutes. The USB 2.0 hub for this had three open ports, two I used for a keyboard and mouse dongle each, the third was connected to my Dell UltraSharp monitor's built in USB hub that had a webcam and usb speaker connected to it. I can say the all these devices switch flawlessly and all connected devices work without any issues. I was about to buy a more expensive model, but what drew me to this one is the wired remote, so that I can keep the clutter away from my desktop. Overall very satisfied for the price. Really helped declutter my desktop without having to deal with multiple monitors or keyboards. Here are my key takeaways. 1) Very small footprint (size of an audio cassette :) ) 2) Does not need any external power, powers itself through usb I guess. 3) Smooth reliable switching. 4) Remembers monitor settings like duplicate, extend (may be this is a windows feature). 5) Wired remote is a bonus. 6) 2 display port and 2 usb cables included. I have been using this now for a month or so to switch between a desktop and laptop. It works great as a switch and I have not had problems with using both devices and swapping between them. Dropping 1 star because of the picture quality. I have found that the Lenovo monitors that I run through the switch have the black color washed out a bit (meaning its not as dark black as before). No amount of modifications to brightness / contrast / color settings on the monitor can get the color as dark black as it is when not connected through the switch. Its not enough for me to stop using, but the picture quality is not 100%. ... show more

Update: My experience has been the worst with this product. It is ewaste straight out of the box - it will not work with any combination of devices I've tried, even low powered ones. Maybe I just got unlucky and happen to get a bad unit who knows. ----- I don't know who this product is for. It's display port, which might lead you to believe it's for gamers. That couldn't be true, because even with non-gaming devices it's power starved so it constantly power cycles on its own. If you add more power demanding gear like an RGB mouse or keyboard, it becomes unusable. I imagine perhaps this may be able to be mitigated with a powered USB hub, but for the price I expected more. I don't think it would have been too much to ask for a power port - even if it's just a micro USB power port with no cord or power supply. I would have been fine with it then (assuming it stopped the power cycles). As it stands, this is worse than useless. It actually detracts from the usability of my computers. I may edit and update the review if the powered USB hub works as intended. ... show more

Item has been replaced with the updated version! constantly disconnects (I have tried different cables at this point). I also thought maybe I had too many devices plugged into it so I removed some and the problems stayed. small but sufficient. Plenty of USB inputs for my purposes. Like the remote button to get it up close to use. It is [a bit] slow to switch is all. Probably due to the video portion. I have [used] other switch boxes without video, and they switch rather rapidly. But for overall cost and performance, would recommend this one UPDATE: I've dropped my rating down to 3 starts. I've been experiencing that "flicker" that others have complained about. VERY annoying. My remote switch is also acting up.. not wanting to switch properly- and the device returns to the one I'm trying switch from. I've unplugged that just to see if perhaps that flickering is maybe caused by the remote switch going bad. If it's the main unit however, I'll be ordering a different device. Oh, and also; the USB does act up as well.. fails to activate mouse and keyboard. ... show more

This was excellent value for money, considering this is a KVM switch, and came with 2 display port cables and USB cables, and a wired desktop switch, so you can keep the switch box and all the cables tidy. Importantly, it worked right away, switching USB {mouse, keyboard, monitor} between 2 PC's, for me a Windows 10 and 11 box. Switching is fast and so far flawless. I'm using a 2560x1440 with no issues. The switch box is very small , about 11x5x1.5cm. Made of metal and feels well put together. On one side is a video and USB cable to each PC. On the other side I have the display, my display's USB hub, keyboard, and an empty USB spot. Then the desktop switch (approx 2x3x1cm) which is very handy.     • Constantly cutting out

Device was easy to set up and i especially like the extra switch button, but it is very inconsistent. My devices would randomly disconnect and reconnect occasionally, freezing my mouse and keyboard but I thought it was every once in a while so not the worst. A few weeks later and its happening constantly to the point where I can't even use my devices because its rapidly losing and regaining connection.
