Bought this for my office as a guest space. I still need to buy the mattresses for it but overall it was a good purchase. Came in a single, long, box. There's two sheets of instructions, one for the daybed, one for the trundle. I separated the pieces immediately between the two beds to keep the parts in order. The assembly instructions are also printed on the inside of the cardboard box. I check them out and they are the same instructions as on the papers. We made two mistakes in assembly but corrected them both for a nice bed setup. First we didn't pay enough attention to which direction the daybed side rails were placed and ended up having to remove the front rail and flipping it over for the notched groove (to join in the trundle when raided) to be on the front outside. We had to take off the screws and the bedslats to flip this over. The second mistake was with the trundle braces. The instructions aren't so clear how they attach, the pictures are not real clear. So we had first attached the front and back legs to the first set of holes on the side rails, but it was supposed to be the second set. Once I figured that out, we were then able to attach the trundle braces in the FIRST hole so the alignment matched up correctly! It took us about 2 hours to fully assemble this bed. (with no fights!) ;-)

This is a really pretty daybed. I love the details of the arches and the color is great. A little more darker brown than I was thinking but I still really love it. It’s sturdy for the price and easy to put together. Everything was packed well and easy to follow That said…. There’s nothing to attach the trundle and bed together if you want it to be a king. We only have couples stay with us, but the trundle piece slides away too easily. I’ll have to find a solution to attach the two pieces when it’s in big bed mode, otherwise I don’t think this would work for a couple. Also, it’s much lower to the ground than I was expecting.

This bed was very easy to put together. It just takes a bit. It looks really pretty and feels very strong. I liked that the trundle is separate from the bed so that you could use it in a whole new whole different part of the room if you wanted to, but then it can also be raised right next to the bed to make it a larger sleeping area. Perfect for my needs

Bought this bed and two cheaper mattresses for a guest room. Im not sure why people had an issue with assembly. instructions are in the hardware pack as well as printed on the box itself. once you realize the trundle piece has separate instructions and which side rails go to which bed- its easy. I put it together myself in about 90 minutes. definitely not as hard as some reviewers made it seem. One thing i noticed is that the upper bed rails have notches in them so that you can clip the trundle to it to prevent it from sliding away when in the “king bed” mode. pure genius! i love this bed. fairly easy to assemble. pretty sturdy. doesnt squeak or anything and i really love the pop up trundle feature. if we needed another one i would probably buy again.

I liked them for my two grandsons, but when my son slept in it for the first time the bed rail broke in half. Rated for 400 pounds? I don't think so. He doesn't weigh near that amount.

Item came missing a crucial piece, so it cannot be assembled. I still have not received a replacement. Paint is chipping/flaking off some of the pieces. Beyond that, the item is as described.

The frame was simple to assemble. I built it with my two year old twins and my five year old. It is pretty low, so our 8” mattresses do not fit under the bed. I’m going to try out bed risers to use when it’s not in the king setting. The mattress also slides off the trundle pretty easily. And there is nothing to keep the trundle attached to the daybed when you want it to be a king. Overall though I’m still please for what I paid.
