We love our star. Those that complained about cheap construction forget that the star needs to be as light as possible to stay atop your tree. In fact, we use a pair of chopsticks and wire ties to keep it standing straighter.

My wife and I are going on our 5th Christmas together & have yet to find a Tree Topper that we actually liked. One that didn't look cheezy or cheap. Well after watching the Polar Express, we decided to go on the hunt for one that looked similar! Came across one, then that led us to this little guy. The topper itself looks just as it does in the picture, absolutely beautiful! The only reason i knock this down a star was because of the bottom that actually mounts over the tree where the top branch fits into. It's very short, maybe only 2" deep and a wide. So when you set it atop that branch, it doesn't go far enough in to it even be sturdy or hold the star up. As i look at the picture, i might try stretching out that piece to make it longer if it will allow me to. I'll update or reply to this review once i do that. It's the only concern i have! Keep in mind that only one side looks like this (naturally so you can replace the bulbs), so as long as it is not going in the center of the room, view-able from all sides, this would make a great topper to any tree. ... show more

    • Gorgeous but far too fragile for the packaging
This is such a pretty tree star, gorgeous in fact, but it is VERY fragile. It came damaged, neither the company producing it nor the shipping company packaged it well either. Mine came broken, and after I put some money into repairing it and cannibalizing the broken pieces, it works, but I won’t get more than a season or 2 out of it, which is a shame because it is so pretty. I thought that I was getting a $30 star... but it seems to be similar to ones I can find at a major discount retail chain for around $10. It says 10", but be aware that the height from tippy top to base of the coil is 9 1/2 in., and width is more like 9 inches. I also included a picture so that you can see the back, which is not pictured, which is pretty much just a thin piece of paper/plastic backing. I get that this makes it easier to change the bulbs but it's super ugly and can't be displayed this way. It would work if you have one of those funny half-trees that go up against a wall. I didn't mind the no-return-unless-damaged policy when I was ordering, because I thought the picture would fairly represent the item. But I feel like it was been misrepresented and I've been swindled a little bit. Also the box was not sealed and looked like it had been opened before. This star is just perfectly on top of my 6 foot front half tree. In other words, I have one half of a Christmas tree so it sits flat against the wall. This star sits very well upon and does not overpower it. I am very pleased with my purchase and would buy it again. I think you would be, TOO.

The star tree topper is packed well. It's very pretty but rather delicate. I hope I can pack it well for storage after Christmas. Still, I would buy it again!
