  • Fits Jeep Wrangler Perfectly!
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
I bought this seat cover to protect my leather seats in my Jeep Wrangler and I loooooooove it! I have a pitbull mix (so his paws/nails are pretty large) and this cover has held up great with him jumping all over it, no rips or tears. The piping did come apart on one section, but that was from my dog purposefully ripping it up (he's a little stinker). However there isn't actually any sort of hole/tear in the seat cover from that being ripped apart so I really don't mind. I also ended up getting stuck in a torrential downpour with the top off of my jeep, there was about 2 inches of water covering the whole bottom of the jeep but the seats underneath this seat cover were still bone dry!! So I would say it holds up very well to water :) I've had it for about six months and haven't had any issues with it coming apart or deteriorating as of yet, but I'll have to see how it holds up in the summer time with the sun and heat baking it everyday. The cover is extremely easy to take on and off although the front part of it does slide around, but I think that is because I don't secure it underneath the seat every time I take it on and off. Overall I think it's a great seat cover and I would purchase it again! ... show more

  • I love this thing
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
I love this thing. I like how it has a spot to use the seat belts still and has a draw string on the corners so it fits over the edges protecting the seat. I also like the material. Its really durable and easy to just shake any dirt or crud off when I take it out. There is also a pouch in the middle that might be handy. This seat cover doesn't make my back seat useless upon installing it which is awesome. My former one just blanketed the entire seat but would move around after my 80 pound dog jumped in and moved a couple of times. It fits my Rav4 completely, maybe even a little bit big but not too big. It doesn't fit all the way across my husband's F250, though but we just put some towels on the ends. If they could make a longer version, then I think it would fit in more vehicles. It mostly lives in my Rav4 so its perfect. I'm really impressed with it. ... show more

  • First place of what's available
Short version: I purchased this and the Solvit to compare both and find one thats fits best in my car. If you have a large raised bench seat as found in trucks and suv's then i would recommend the Solvit cover, it should fit fine and the quality of materials between the two covers are comparable. See my review of the Solvit cover. If you have a sedan, especially with a folding rear seat, then the kurgo would suit you better. ***See install tips at bottom if nothing else*** Detailed: I installed this cover first and it took 20-30 minutes to make all the adjustments to make it fit as good as possible, but now that it's adjusted, all straps have buckles so it "saves" the settings and it took less than 5 minutes to reinstall after I decided to keep this one over the Solvit. This seems well made and the extra storage pockets are a plus for waste bags, toys, etc. If you have a sedan with a standard size rear seat that folds down, then this cover is as close as you can get to a perfect fit without getting a custom cover. One reviewer complained about difficulty being able to install it, but it only goes one way, the two buckle straps go around the headrests, the rest falls in place and you just have to work it into place and make adjustments to get the best fit. The strap that goes around behind the folding seat holds it back against the seat and helps prevent lateral movement, and I'm not sure why the other reviewer couldn't get this strapped either. You fold down the seats, buckle it together, tighten, and then fold the seats back up. This is as good a fit as can be expected from a universal seat cover. It really should be labeled for sedans with folding seats as I believe this is what it was modeled around, and vice versa for the Solvit as it seems to be designed around an SUV/truck. I will agree that the bungee that holds down the front corners is lacking, but I would suggest pulling it out and replacing with 550 cord that doesn't stretch and securing it that way for a tighter fit. This doesn't have the PVC insert to go between the back and seat like the Solvit, but in my opinion that didn't hold it that tight and the rear strap around the seat seems to be holding it snugly in place. An additional bonus that isn't expressed in the picture is that it has enough material on the backrest sides, with a seam that makes it seem to be on purpose, to tuck the sides in between the folding seat and side of the car, which provides additional support. I also had just enough material around the seat front bottom and sides to tuck it in between the floor and cushion which again provides more support to hold in place. I really liked the extra protection for the sides and front of the seat, but this also doubles to make it look more like a custom seat cover and thought out, not just a blanket with straps thrown down on top like the Solvit. The one area of concern I had for either cover was the seatbelt slits, which I wanted, but was worried about liquid running back and going right though the slits. This cover did a better job than the Solvit, at least how it fit my car, by having those slots about an inch or two higher up the back so if liquid runs back it shouldnt reach high enough to get through the hole. It also has Velcro flaps to cover the holes when not in use which should prevent too much crud from getting between the cover and seat. This cover is nearly perfect except for a few areas of improvement that I would be more than willing to pay extra for. My suggestion to both companies is if you are going to make a "waterproof cover" but have large holes where liquid is just going to run right through, then use waterproof zippers and flaps so they can be closed when not in use and prevent the waterproof cover becoming useless when liquid just goes right through the intentional holes. Second, for this cover, there should be a thicker edge piping at the seat bottom seam so it can be pushed between the seat bottom and floor. this will provide additional holding power when wedged in, similar to the Solvit PVC pipe concept, but in the front of the seat instead as the rear strap on this seems to hold well in place of the PVC. ***Install Tips*** Some suggestions for install and ensured long life. I would not recommend machine washing these. The instructions for the kurgo say front loader only, no agitator post machines. Both of these covers are laminated plastic on the back of the material which provides the waterproofing. Some reviewers complained about the material cracking and coming off after washing. These covers are no doubt kept in your car during extreme hot and cold temps which I'm sure will eventually shrink and expand the laminate enough to crack it, machine washing it by cramming it in any washer and wrinkling it will only expedite this process. The best option if an accident happens it to use some mild cleaner, hose it off, and hang dry. Second, during install the straps that go around the headrest, reviewers complained about these sewn straps tearing away from the cover. During my first install I immediately realized why and how to avoid this. When you install you are most likely just reaching in your car and then you tighten these headrest straps down. With no weight on the seat they are fine, but when someone sits down or a dog jumps in, these are pulled down tighter by their weight and will no doubt tear in short order. What I recommend most is that you do not tighten these down until the end. When ready, sit in the seat first, then reach back and tighten just snug while your weight is pulling it down. Then move to the other side and do the same. This makes for a slightly looser looking fit, but will prevent any tearing since the additional weight is compensated for and only the weight of the cover is ever put on the sewn straps. ... show more

  • Great seat bench cover.
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
Seat cover fits great. It keeps my truck seat bench clean. I have 3 dogs, I don't have to worry about my truck seats getting dirty. I wash and hang dry it. Happy with my purchase.

  • works great!
We bought this back seat cover to be used in the Ford Fusion, for our 70+ lb Rottweiler. We bought 2 other covers previously, that we had to return because they absolutely did not work. This one is great. Has enough hangover in the front to protect the seat. The elastic cord for the bottom seat is long enough to reach under the seat where we can tuck it in. The part covering the back is long enough to cover the whole back and wide enough so I can tuck it in between the back seat parts. The large band reaches all around and can be tightened to keep the cover in place. Since we don't have head rests in the back, we had to find an other way to secure the 2 straps that would normally go around the head rest. We bought 2 metal key ring clips (available at Home Depot and Lowe's for about $1 each)and clipped them on the strap and the brackets for the child seat that is situated behind the back seat. We then tightened the straps. Bingo - perfect. Our dog moves around a lot and the cover stayed in place! The material of this cover is very sturdy and not so soft that all the dog hair will stick on it. Not sure if we will ever use the pockets, but who knows. Overall we can definately recommend this cover. Very good value for the money. ... show more

  • Not perfect, but features that beat any other seat cover
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
I have this seat covering the back seat of my 2014 Mazda6, and I am definitely pleased with how it fits. Obviously the manufacturer is trying to get the cover to fit as many vehicles as possible, so it's by no means a perfect fit. However, I do believe that this cover is significantly better than any of the hammock style seat covers - especially for larger dogs. One of the consistent complaints I read about the cover was that it would shift when a larger dog would get into the car. I found this to be the case as well, but usually I'm able to give it a quick tug and get it back into place after my dog gets in the car. It's a 2-second adjustment, and not something that I mind at all. The major plus for me, and the reason I gave it five starts, is the access points to the seat belts. I have a six-month old that rides in a rear-facing car seat, and thanks to the access flaps I can strap in the car seat base without having to remove the cover. This allows me to keep the cover in place all the time. More than likely I'll keep the seat cover in place as my child gets older, and it will serve double duty by protecting my seats from the dog and from the kiddo! ... show more

  • better than other covers out there, but still has a LOT of room to improve
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
If they would let you do 1/2 points I probably would have given this a 3.5, I just received this today and installed it this afternoon so keep that in mind as I write this review it has not yet been "battle tested" by my 55 lbs Lab mix. However, I did have another seat cover (different brand) we tried before this that didn't even last one day (was easily damaged during the installation!!!) So compared with what I noticed in the quality of that seat cover and this one I do already have a list of "WooHoo's and Oh Craps" Pros: 1) The straps seam to be sturdily attached- the previous cover (other brand) only had a single line of stitch holding the straps to the cover, THIS company however, appears to have put much more thought into their product and the abuse a larger dog could put their product through. The Kurgo straps are anchored much more securely (stitches create a square box with an X through it for far more durability). 2) There is an additional strap that goes around the seat (for use on seats that can fold down). this will definitely help keep the cover in place better, less chance of it sliding around when my dog hops in and out of the car. 3) The openings for the seat belt access slots have Velcro to keep them closed when not in use. Other brands I looked at did not have this and their large open slots that couldn't be closed seemed to defeat the purpose of waterproof material... If its just going to slosh between the seat belt slots anyway why worry if it soaks through the cover? 4) The front edges are fitted so that the bottom corners are protected too. Con: 1) The strap to secure the bottom of the cover to the bottom of the seat is CHEAP. You would think after the extra effort put into the straps stitches for the top of the cover, the added strap, the Velcro, and the fitted corners that the company would have continued this level of quality throughout the product... Unfortunately the strap that holds the bottom of the cover in place is a cheap, thin elastic cord with chintzy drawstring clamps on either side. To give you a better idea of what I mean by a cheap, thin elastic chord- I have had stronger, thicker elastic hair ties! Given the number of Pros versus the one Con I have noticed so far I'll go ahead and keep it. I do not expect the strap for the bottom to last long though and will be thinking of an alternative way to secure the bottom when the strap does give out. I will try to remember to update this once it has been "battle tested" by my energetic Lab mix! UPDATE: (after 9 months of use) 1) the strap that goes around the seat back ended up being poorly stitched and came off the cover within a month (luckily I own a sewing machine and know how to use it- I put it back together with much sturdier stitch and haven't had a problem with it anymore) 2) some of the velcro for the seat belt access (which I never even use because no humans sit back there) is also coming loose and needs to be restitched to the cover (is a decent machine stitch really that difficult for manufactures!?!?) 3) that cheap thin bungee strap for the bottom has stretched out and does not hold the bottom portion of the cover in place well. As a result the bottom portion of the seat cover slides around some and my poor dog has been slid off the seat more than a few times during normal, mild stopping of the vehicle. I'll be sewing a thicker strap(s) with a latch like the one that goes around the back of the seat to the underside to secure it better. ... show more

  • Works Great in the Fiat 500L
Style: Bench Seat Cover Size: 55" Wide Color: Black
I have a chow chow and newfie?? mix. She's 80lbs and has long black hair and is a prolific shedder and drooler. I bought this cover to protect the back seats of my 2014 Fiat 500L (this is the larger 4-door Fiat with a hatchback). It fits like a charm, stays put and was super easy to install. Lula Belle's first trip in the new Fiat ended in us getting stuck in a rainstorm; she was a wet, muddy mess. The Kurgo completely protected the seats. And, she's comfortable riding on it. It also looks sharp in my car (which has gray & black seats w/ red details). Did I mention it is awesomely durable? Yes, super durable and clearly well-made. Highly recommended - - especially at this price point. ... show more
