Best fitting, most adjustable, easiest to apply dog life jacket I have found after trying dozens!!! This one fits and works well. Unlike others the chest and belly band have some floatation material. My dog who is a cavapoo, cavalier King Charles spaniel mixed with small poodle, is unfortunately right in between extra small and small. I have included pictures of her in both xs and s and I went with the extra small. Her specifications are 12 pounds, 14 inches tall, chest measurement is 17 inches, neck to base of tail is 12 inches. The size small she didn’t like because it was too long, uncomfortable when she went to sit, it cut in to her back legs. She seems to enjoy it out of the many we tried and it is very adjustable. I especially like the Velcro on both sides of the belly band. The chest strap that goes between the legs is sufficiently narrow for my non- stocky doodle. It is well-made and the back strap is sturdy and I don’t have any reservations about it staying on. I highly recommend this doggy life vest. I just wish it came in more colors! In the pictures when she is facing right and you can see the right side of the dog and vest that is the extra small. When she is facing left and you see the left side of her that is the small. Both would work and I originally wanted to go with a small for the added length and possible more flotation ability but she doesn’t like to sit in it. She wins🤣 ... show more

I needed a life jacket for my great dane/lab mix, but with a big dog it's usually hard to find something that fits around their large chest without being too big everywhere else. There are a lot of straps/velcro to get into place at first but once you figure it out and get it fitted, it's a bit easier to slip on the next time. I've never seen my dog swim so I wanted to be confident in taking her out on our boat. She was comfortable, didn't get too hot in the Florida sun, and I appreciate the strap on top in case we ever needed to grab her out of the water. It's such a cute pink against her black fur, doesn't hinder her mobility, and seems to do what it's supposed to. Great value and product that I'm very happy with. ... show more

MY dog likes this jacket, and it allows us to kayak and play at the lake without having to worry about her being out of sight for more than a moment. So far it has held up very well and the grab handle got her out of a fight with another dog without anyone getting bit. The jacket did receive a small tare during the altercation. While wearing this my dogs walk changes a little, though she can still run and play aggressively with it on. Dog is a 40lb bull dog mix and this fits her nicely. ... show more

I love the XS life jacket features and will still use it this summer at the lake but the sizing chart runs big. I adjusted all the straps to the tightest possible but it created some rippling. I also crossed the bottom straps. Not sure she can sit in it either. She is 6.7 pounds.

Fits well, feels durable. Provides a nice amount of floatation, gives a dog learning to swim good confidence to head out into even 1 to 2 foot waves with me. Handle is solid, and has allowed me to lift a 60 pound dog out of the water with ease.
