Edit: added pictures though I took them as gear began to get taken out. In taking stuff out I do believe that 6 adults on cots could make the space work with some gear and other stuff outside under the awning perhaps. Picture of tent up with rainfly might help to see how it should look on because that is most difficult part of build. **** Why did you pick this product vs others?: I never buy large priced products that do not have reviews but I liked the look of this tent, the space, and the awning. It was a leap of faith considering this was to be used the very next day we got it for a 3 night camping trip. How did it do? Unpacking and assembly: Very easy to assemble poles and organize parts. You should definitely do that as the directions are a 6-7 out of 10 but seeing the poles all organized by type on the ground made it easy. Actually putting up the tent took us 20 minutes but an easy 20. I believe the next time will be under 10 easy. The rainfly is the most difficult part in our opinion because it is substantial and well built. You will probably need to rotate it a few times when you get it up to line things up properly. This tent is well built. The bottom is made of a decently thick tarp like material. I have used tents with thicker bottoms but they were older. Most tents being made now are thin, which I don’t care for, so this one was an improvement over most I have seen recently. It will hold up if you are smart with placement or prep site a little. Poles are solid and will last. Rainfly is best I have used and I have used a lot of mid/low priced tents. Amazing quality. Plenty of windows and doors for ventilation and access. 4 doors! Amazing. Space: it says 12 person…you could fit 12 teens in sleeping bags for sure. Adults, not so much. 8 adults without cots would be fine. We were 2 adults, 1 teen, and a 10 year old. We all had cots. Plenty of room plus all our gear. So with cots four is comfy, 5 could work too, but more would not work using cots. So bare that in mind as it really depends on how you camp and use the space. Awning: this really provides a great covered space for cooking if it rains a little or setting up some chairs or even a table. Lots of uses here. In my opinion this is an amazing value that I can highly recommend. We only had very light rain and it handled that with ease. The rainfly is substantial so imagine it can handle much more. I usually spray seams etc with waterproofing but because we got this right before leaving I was not able to do that and there was barely any rain in the forecast. ... show more

We needed a tent for camping and my girlfriend and I wanted something comfortable and spacious we could enjoy if rain struck and we had to go inside. This tent was perfect, reviews made me uneasy but there were no holes, we actually did get some light rains our first trip and had absolutely no issues with leaking. Girlfriend and I even watched "how to lose a guy in 10 days" while it rained. Could not be happier with the tent. the tent was super easy to put up, took 5 minutes our first try. But here is some advice since they don't tell you. 4 polls with red tape are for the corners, 2 polls with white tape are for the middle, 2 polls with no tape and pin are for the awning, thin polls are for the roof, 2 are long spanning corner to corner, 1 is short crossing the middle. Says it sleeps 12—maybe if they’re pocket-sized. Realistically fits 4 humans or a toddler soccer team. The "two rooms" are separated by a sad little flap that doesn’t reach the floor and turns nighttime bathroom trips into Olympic hurdles. No private entry for the back room means everyone traipses through the “common” front room. Zippers jammed, it leaked like a sieve, and setup directions were as helpful as interpretive dance. I set up the Blue KTT Extra Large 12-person Tent in my backyard over the weekend to test it before taking it out on a real trip, and I’m pleasantly surprised by how well it’s holding up - especially after addressing the rainfly pooling issue. Setup & Design Setup was straightforward overall. The instructions are minimal and abysmal, but if you’ve set up a tent before, you won’t struggle. its basically a parts list with an assembled, albeit labeled, picture. The roof poles are fiberglass, while the vertical supports are aluminum, which gives a decent balance of flex and rigidity. I haven’t quite figured out how to configure the awning yet. It’s a little awkward without clearer guidance. The colors are very vibrant and easy to spot. Excellent making sure people know you’re there! Rainproofing Hack I ran the awning poles from front and back to the center ridge, propping up the rainfly like a tension rod. This simple change completely eliminated the pooling problem it has on the rainfly during moderate rain. The tent stayed dry and taut, and I’m now confident it could handle a solid downpour with this setup. I doubt that’s the intended storage location or intended use for them if the awning is down but it appears to work so I’m choosing to believe they forgot to add that in the instructions. That said, tie down the guy lines if the rainfly is on. If not, the fly can cause the tent to sag or collapse under rain and wind. Space & Comfort Massive interior! It fits four queen-sized air mattresses with room to move. I’m 5’8” and can stand up fully with clearance to spare. The layout makes it a great basecamp tent for families or groups. The large mesh roof provides excellent ventilation even with the rainfly on. I relied on that to dry out the tent after Fridays overnight storm caused the rainfly to sag and start leaking in. By Saturday sundown, the inside was fully dried without any manual intervention. As with any tent: don’t touch the walls during rain—you’ll get condensation soak-through. That’s tenting 101. Suggestions • I’m considering adding pool noodles (whole or halved) between the tent and rainfly for added support in heavier storms. It would help maintain clearance and tension without adding significant bulk or weight. The tent comes with strap buckles that could absolutely be used to help store and rollout that idea. • Clearer instructions, especially for the awning, would make a big difference. Bottom Line This tent offers great value, tons of space, and decent weather protection—especially if you reinforce the rainfly creatively. If you’re handy or like to tinker, it’s a solid choice. For casual campers, just take a little time to set it up right, and you’ll have a great experience. ... show more
