I got tired of my old antenna hitting trees and being assaulted in the car wash. This replacement was a perfect solution. The antenna is impervious to any car wash. It's low profile and style looks great on my Truck. I'm also very impressed with the quality of stations and sound I still get without the really long stock versions. if you can screw in a lightbulb, you can install this antenna. The price per quality is also really well matched. Looks good, works good, and no more antenna wars with trees, and car wash brushes.

I first purchased a 7-inch antenna that was similar, but it had about zero reception. I sent that back and purchased this 13-inch and it works as well as the original antenna, if not Better! Also, looks much better than the original antenna. The only thing I would say needs improvement is the attachment aspect. It feels as if you're stripping the threads even when putting it on hand tight. I feel the antenna should have a better attachment aspect to keep snug. All in all, it's a really nice antenna with great reception!!

UPDATE... I have since returned it even after putting a longer stud the reseption is God awful so dont waste your money. so the attena is alright for the money.. however! And this is a big one the stud that comes with it is to short to make proper contact at least in my ram! You also have to make sure it's fully screwed in! If you have reception problem I would recommend removing the screw that comes with the antenna and replacing it with a longer thread bolt and just cut the head of and fully inserting it in the antenna and to the base. It fixed my reception problems instantly. The threaded bolt thing that came with it did not get good reception at all and I'm in the city. Use your factory antenna to measure how long it really needs to be.

The whip antenna on the RAM truck tends to bend a little bit going through the car washes. This antenna is much shorter-no issue. However the AM band on the lower #'s 560, 570, 590 etc tend to be a little scratchy. The factory antenna had no such issue. The rest are just fine FM etc. Will keep installed as I don't listen to much AM anymore.
