Firstly, let me say that the featherboard works very well. In my shipment thumb screws were missing - an email to customer support and they fedexed me the missing parts (US to Israel took 3 days only). However, after a few months, once I tied the boards down in the miter slot, I could not remove them or slide them (after loosening the thumb screws) without a lot of effort. I tried to tighten the thumb screws very lightly but then the feather boards move during routing action. The problem is with the plastic parts that sit inside the (U-shape) miter slot. The inner part is slightly off vertical so that when one tightens the screw it moves up and pushes the sides against the sides of the slot. The thin plastic wall (between the inner part and the miter slot) pushes against the slot and locks the board into place. Problem was that when one releases the screw this thin wall does not relax to its initial shape. I think it may have to do with temperatures. When i got the boards first, it worked fine, now it is winter and working in a cold garage - not extreme but maybe 50 deg F. So the plastic is not as flexible anymore. It is also possible that fine dust penetrated the delicate black plastic sliders making them sticky. I wrote again to Kreg and I received (without asking!) a new feather board by fedex, while I would have been happy to just get the plastic sliders for the miter slot. So I think they earn first price for customer support.

No use why I waited so long to get a featherboard. This one is easy to use, much safer, and leads to better cuts.

In true Kreg form this featherboard is of great quality. I use it on my router table and am very happy with it. Would certainly recommend.

These featherboards did exactly what I had hoped. They attach easily to the tracks—one on the table and one on the fence—and they are easy to set. I was impressed that, once the workpiece has engaged with the featherboards, it goes in just one direction and won't back out. I am very happy with this purchase.
