This lock seem like a great deal at first, it was well made and packaged, and fairly easy to install. The instructions for programming fingerprints are vague and confusing, yet I was able to get everything completed and programmed two fingerprints. The lock quickly recognized my fingerprints and allowed me to open the door with no issues. Several hours later I tried opening it again, but the batteries were completely dead. These were brand new lithium batteries that I had just pulled out of a package. Returning this in the morning. UPDATE: I received an email from the seller asking me to take down my comments. In return for this, I would be given a $45 Amazon gift card. I will be posting a screenshot of the emails that I received as soon as possible. Beware, there's no telling how many people posted negative reviews that were paid to remove them.

The media could not be loaded. So, I have not seen other videos or examples of how this thing is supposed to work, so maybe I just have a defective unit, but no matter what finger or thumb I try, or how many times I try, it always takes a generous amount of tries before it "wakes up" to even give me a scan indicator. I've tried methods of "waking up" the sensor besides just putting a print on it, such as turning the handle fully and then scanning, but nothing seems to work. While not technically "incorrect" readings, failing to wake up and even take readings until the 5th attempt and beyond is functionally the same thing as less than a 20% success rate. Kind of a bummer, really, I actually really liked this knob otherwise. It even has a little hole for your screwdriver to get to the hard to reach screw for installation, which was a very appreciated little detail. If it turns out this was just a defective model, it'd definitely end up being a 5 star review instead, but it just kinda fails to perform as is.

I loved it, I wanted it!!! Kids going through my room to go to my bathroom, who knows what else, even though I say stay out. Programed my fingers and it worked. Showed my kids they are going to be locked out now when I'm at work. I then layed on my bed and laughed. The youngest, as I'm laughing opened my door with her prints and then she was laughing. I was pissed but asked for a replacement instead of my money back. I received the replacement and it does not work either!!! So, I'm done! I would have actually thought this was working if my 9 year old did not try her fingers when I was present. . And yes I followed instructions and contacted the Amazon help line which helped me on other products. To all that have purchased this door handle. Check other people prints or prints from your other hand to see if your door is still not be secure!

Updated 8.18.21 old review, Any finger prints opens door, I bought 2 of them 20 minutes to install fits nice. Was easy and my husband didn’t swear till 1.5 hours into programming finger prints. Instructions are horrible and customer service is not open on the weekends. Buyer beware Update took weeks for the seller to contact me We ended up watching a you tube video to get it to work. I’m gonna say the battery drains quickly and the seller now contacted me to ask me to take down my negative review I wasn’t offered a 45 dollar gift card like other reviewers said but it looks nice easy to install but the finger print took about 40( no joke ) man hours to get it to go and one of the two I bought is glitchy. That one the battery has been replace after a month of anyone’s finger print opening it. They should replace it and give me a gift card for our hassle. So if I where you I’d definitely look for a different Fingerprint lock one that has better instructions and not offered by KPP

Installation was not difficult, but adding fingerprints was tricky and took several attempts. The instructions were a bit hard to understand (poor translation) and could be more detailed. This was installed yesterday and has once been a bit glitch, but eventually worked. However, I think that may partially be because I installed rechargeable batteries and it says it needs alkaline. I will be changing the batteries to alkaline once they arrive to see if that prevents glitchiness. For the price it's a decent product, but have patience with it. The manufacturer needs to provide more clear and detailed instructions. UPDATE: Alkaline batteries made huge difference. The glitchiness was due to the rechargeable batteries. Works fine now. The seller even reached out to me to offer assistance, but the batteries were only issue. Note: it will not read your fingerprint if your hands were recently wet (i.e. just washed or did the dishes etc) even if they feel dry. Wait a couple minutes for hands to dry and it will work.
