i really like the look of jute rugs but i have cats and they love sharpening their murder mittens on jute and sisal rugs (understandably so) and they end up only lasting me a few months before i have to throw out. this is a faux jute rug and it is so cat-friendly (i.e. durable) but still very nice looking! i put it in front of my laundry closet so a very high traffic area and, for the most part, it has stayed in place (except for the moments where the cats get their zoomies). i like that it is washable and that it has a rubber backing so it's not slipping and sliding everywhere. great buy! ... show more

Bought to make easier path thru the house for a dog with mobility problems . Mats stay in place,neutral color looks nice in my Lr Dr area casual but not too utilitarian , and serve the purpose very well. Thicker more sturdy than expected. Indoor outdoor so I will probably order more for deck and porch. they have a rubber like backing but do not stick to the floor as well as some tufted kitchen rugs I have used. Would not use them if anyone in the house was at risk from tripping hazards. Have not washed yet, but they look like they can withstand a gentle cycle machine wash. I would expect to air dry. There are lots of reasons to love this rug. The item matches the product description perfectly. The color- natural- looks like the Amazon picture.; but I wish the picture depicted the texture— it’s soft, yet absorbent enough to work perfectly as an entryway rug. The backing has little rubber spots that will definitely hold up in the washing machine — or at least not ruin a washer like some fully covered rubber bath mats have done in the past. ... show more

We purchased this rug (x2) at the end of October. I was so happy with the color and the fact that it could be washed because we were using them in our kitchen. Well, here we are at the beginning of December, less than 1&1/2 months from purchase, and they are stained and don't lay right after washing. I washed 3 times to try and get out normal dirt and even used my bissell rug cleaner to no avail. If you need a very short term solution then this is the rug for you, but if you are thinking of placing this in an area where you live or people come in and out, probably not your best solution. I was just over the return date on this item so I'm stuck with them but if you haven't purchased yet, you aren't. Think again before buying this rug. ... show more
