    • Tons of storage, great for apartments or dorms.
I purchased the white version of KOUSI Large Cube Storage - 14"x18". It came with 14x18 side panels, 14x14 back panels, 14x14 doors, 14x18 reinforced panels, connectors, zip ties, mallet, clothes hanging bars, stickers, and some plastic bits you need to toss. The one I got was four cubes by five cubes. The package came in a pretty hefty little box about 8inch by 14inch by 18inch. The panels are pretty sturdy, rimmed in wire with the pvc like plastic wrapped and heat sealed around it. There are five panels that are reinforced with an extra wire in the middle of the panel, these allow you to place the four hanger bars that came with the package and not worry about the panel sagging. They sent an extra package of connectors with the unit. I broke one of the connectors, so the extra package came in handy. This product comes with these little plastic pieces that look like an upper case E. Discard them, they are useless. About the fourth completed cube is when I figured out that you need to zip tie the wires together after using the mallet to get them fully seated in the connectors. Don't wait till you get the unit fully built to zip tie everything together, using the mallet to seat the wires in the connectors will create a domino effect where the wire you are hitting will seat, but the rest of the wires will pop out. It took about an hour to set up once I finally got a rhythm going. Most of that time was fiddling with zip ties. Overall it's a good concept, and great for temporary storage. Best part is when I no longer need it, I just cut the zip ties, take it apart, and put it in a little tote in storage. Its currently being used for quilting fabric. The bottom panels sag a bit, but upon removal of the weight (maybe 15 lbs), it pops right back up. Anything heavier, I'd suggest getting heftier zip ties as the sturdiness isn't the best. Only thing I dislike is the doors. They constantly get caught on the ones above or below, so when you open one, you open two or three. Looks like the plastic wasn't pulled tight when it was heat sealed, so it's not tightly wrapped around the wires. Other than that, totally worth the money and time to construct it. ... show more

    • The instructions are faulty. the video leaves out the last and most frustrating step
the doors are a little hokey and the installation instructions are not clear. The video is helpful but leaves out the last step of installing the clips that will break your nails and leave you with a very sore thumb. They are not well designed. You will need a pair of needle nose pliers to tighten the connections. This is a good value if you need storage for very lightweight items. My wife knits and needed a place to organize her stash. It works well for that but I would not recommend this for storing garments with any weight to speak of. ... show more

    • Perfect for places where "regular" furniture might be hard to move in
We bought the largest kit, and were able to make two separate storage units (with some pieces left over) that fit *perfectly* in our master bathroom. It's a bit of a distance and a kind of tight hallway away from the closest exterior door, so that's always made moving more "real" cabinets in there kind of a pipe dream. These, however, will be plenty sturdy enough to hold towels, cleaning supplies, general bath products, and whatever else we see fit to stuff in there. I am also pleased to report that a 16-lb cat (who is savvy enough to open the little doors) has not managed to do any damage to the particular cube he's adopted as his new apartment. Assembly was easy enough, although the little clips they want you to install will really only go on if the metal frame pieces are just-so-perfectly aligned. Someone in another review mentioned using zip ties instead, and I think that's a great (and sturdier) solution that I'm going to implement as soon as I find my bag of zip ties. :-) Overall we're quite pleased with these units, and will probably be picking some more up soon to add a little more storage space to the other bathroom too. ... show more

    • No Way Safe, Not Secure. Connectors and Metal Don't Fit. Slips Out Constantly, even with Zip Ties
No Way! Both Unsafe and Not Sturdy! Unsafe for little ones, children and even animals. It falls apart due to the connectors. They do not have proper indention to hold the stainless steel frame. They slip out non stop, even with it zip tied from here to tomorrow. If you can somehow cement the connectors in place with the metal bars to prevent the metal bars from slipping out, well then maybe. I regret this purchase dearly. $250 down the drain. Your items or someone could get hurt from this when it falls. I do not recommend for regular toys, maybe very very lightweight clothing. I wanted this system to work. In order to use the 20 cube one it seems ut won't fit through regular door ways and you would have to take it apart. Update April 7, 2021 this item has just gotten worse. Though the seller was kind to ask tge buyer to contact them with issues, they can't change anything wrong with it, nor will they refund immediately after receiving ut, so it's money down the drain which I would have to work 3 days to cover the loss at my job. Spare yourself the grief, just find an alternative to this storage system. The connector grooves are thin in some of them and thicker in other grooves even on the same connector, they slide right out and zip Tues do NOT keep it together. You can't really put much over 4 pounds in them, if your lucky without the potential for collapse. I hate writing negative reviews but really the manufacturer should stop selling until they can create a good solid unit. I will go the the BBB to see if I can get my money back since they wouldn't refund right after I received it. I hate to do that but for the safety of children and pets it's important. Soft extremely lightweight items might be OK that's if you get the connectors to not slip out and crash it down. But then your starting over from the beginning to reassemble over and over for this same issue. ... show more

It looks amazing in the photos but it isn't... it is thin plastic over hard wire squares. It is just okay. I am 3 days in and still putting it together. It isn't hard to put together just time consuming and I keep thinking ... what the heck can I trust to store in here? It isn't worth the space it will take up. ... show more
